My captain did something sweet for me today!

A blizzard was in the forecast today of 6 to 9 inches of snow. All schools were let out early so I had all the kiddos home. I was still nervous about the upcoming weather and one of our kids wanted to go to a friends. My husband doesn’t like to leave work early but after I called and strongly suggested he leave early to be on the road before the snow hit he started wrapping things up to come home! He told everyone below him they can leave too if they wanted so everyone could be safe!

I want some ideals on how to show my appreciation this weekend? He is finishing up his second to last masters class this weekend so he’s going to be tied to his computer a lot. I want to encourage him to think of safety over having to always be at work no matter what by showing lots of positive reenforcement!

I'm really confused.

Make his favorite meal?

Doesn’t seem to warrant a massive deal .... maybe his favourite dinner?

I think we should be finding ways to serve our husbands and think of positive ways to make them feel appreciated.

There has been some negativity on here that pulls focus away from RPW mission.

Fair enough ... but her telling him to come home when it’s safe and him listening isn’t something that needs to be ‘reinforced.’ It actually kind of sounds like he’s never listened to anything she’s said before which doesn’t seem healthy either. But I understand where you and OP are coming from.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
