“Hate subs”

It’s obvious they’ve never spent any time here lol.

[–]Kyonkanno113 points114 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Their definition of "hate" is: Anything we disagree with.

[–]jeffwingersballs28 points29 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

You've internalized your misogyny. Advocating for or normalizing the life style choice of a traditional woman is hate speech.

[–]deerprudehence45 points46 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Apparently this is a hate sub... A hate sub that hates women, when majority of us are women asking each other for advice?? So stupid.

Update: I guess I made some mods on there angry and got banned. Good riddance!

[–]toomim20 points21 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Wow. They don't realize that they are the hate sub.

[–]cruciod12 points13 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yea. I wouldn't even really consider myself a RPW because I do hold some feminist values, but this is in no way a hate sub. It's just a support/advice group for those with similar ideals.

[–]LadyHelvetica99 points100 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

Wow. That’s really overstepping. I understand if you broke their rules on the subreddit they moderate, but just because you’ve interacted with another subreddit they don’t approve of?

And even then, outright labeling RPW as a hate group? Talk about intolerance.

[–]pilled21[S] 35 points36 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

yeah its hilarious, no rules broken just that i post on here. my post was just about how using "daddy" in relationships isn't weird and explained some women just let it slip especially if you have children, completely innocent and rule abiding post.

[–]Mewster18181 Star20 points21 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

It's why r/trueoffmychest has to exist.

They also auto ban people for posting on subs they dislike, even if you've never gone to r/offmychest.

I got a notification I was banned awhile back because of my activity on the "hate subs" r/tumblrinaction and r/conservative... even though I've never even visited their sub or engaged with them in anyway.

[–]Dumb_Velvet0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I got banned immediately from r/naturalhair because I posted a comment in TiA and they said it was a hate sub and the founder “admitted to planning a terrorist attack” (the link unsurprisingly didn’t work). It’s like wtf???

[–]mikelieman11 points12 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Like it or not, TRP is quarantined, and affinity groups are going to have to deal with that subreddit's shitty reputation.

[–]Psychological-Ad08701 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Thats insane. I hope i dont get banned on other subs for lurking here 🙄

[–]gretawasright39 points40 points  (8 children) | Copy Link

What about this subreddit is considered "hate"? I totally admit that I don't fully understand all the terms on this subreddit, but I really enjoy lots of the posts on here about keeping a nice house and self improvement. I feel like I'm missing something.

[–]DelicateDevelopment29 points30 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

They write "support"... And as RPW we are apparently considered to support hate group no 1 - TRP 😉 and naturally also support the suppression of women by turning them into submissive SAHM and further supporting patriarchy 😣

[–]gretawasright22 points23 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

Again, I don't understand TRP or RPW stuff super well, but I thought TRP was gone and RPW is basically "work to be your best self and don't make excuses, make sure the guy you are dating has qualities you would like in a husband, make a nice home and nice meals (whether you are single, dating or married), and when something bothers you in a relationship you lay it all out for your partner neutrally and let him help problem solve so you are both on the same side like a team." I just feel like I'm really missing something.

[–]taikutsuu26 points27 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

That's what it is more or less.

It's a bit confusing, but basically, RPW is the rare subreddit that's oriented per real life values. Realistically, all the things you say RPW is about are true and make for a really healthy relationship. In an extremely left-leaning internet environment, this doesn't ring well. Per current feminist political and ideological climate, wanting a family in a healthy, traditional relationship is regarded as a threat to society. Women can't like cooking or raising kids! You're doing the laundry? Why would you submit to such degrading stereotypes! We must rescue you! You are insane!

Tons of people now believe that being a SAHM, or even just raising your kids while your partner works, is submitting to the patriarchy, or to internalized misogyny because not working must mean that you hate yourself and believe you are useless and have no worth, or that you have to be rescued from the abuse of men who demand women work and do everything for them. Thus, supporting our values of how to foster healthy and happy lives, including traditional relationships, means supporting these notions, means supporting hateful conduct against women. These people don't actually support women making free choices, they have control issues and think their word is law. They think women in relationships like we encourage them here (healthy, communicative, shared workload, traditional) automatically don't exercise agency, they don't have a say, they're just blindly submitting and that no man that loves them would make them work like that. They think traditional femininity is oppression. They read "redpill" and think it means we're dating incels that believe they own women and are abusing us. There's no real thinking involved.

People that perpetuate this just lead unsatisfying lives and need to live vicariously through the perceived good impact they think they have. It's stupid. You're right to be missing something, because it doesn't make sense.

[–]gretawasright17 points18 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

I took a course on women's studies in college and my take away was that feminism is the belief that all people are equal and everyone should get to choose the kind of life they want to have. And I agree with that belief and I think those choices include being a SAHM or having a traditional marriage. I don't think I should choose what's right for anyone else, but I don't think society should get to choose what's right for me. I am afraid I might be violating the subreddit's "no feminism" policy with this post, but I don't see feminism and this subreddit to be in conflict from what I've learned of both. Nor have I seen any evidence of hate in this subreddit in the years I've been reading it.

[–]PublicConfusion15 points16 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

That’s how most people view feminism too. You want to have babies and be married and be a SAHM? Cool. You want to be a corporate director and never have kids? Also cool. One isn’t better than the other and like you said, society doesn’t get to dictate what is better for you, only you can do that. Feminism is the choice and opportunity- and the view that everyone (gender, sexual orientation, race ect) is equal.

There is a minority who speak more freely online (because, well, it’s the internet )who do take it to extremes. Every group has its extremists though. Just keep doing you and thinking your awesome positive thoughts.

[–]taikutsuu12 points13 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't think you're in violation of it. You are absolutely right; the theory of feminism is great, it worked in the past, and as a woman who wants to return to work after raising my family I'm grateful that we are allowed free opportunity and choice. This subreddit is all about that and our agency as well, so your idea is spot on.

But: feminism is no longer in benefit of all women. A lot of people that subscribe to feminism today believe that the essence of it is to force women into positions of liberation and non-oppression to prove their point that women are still oppressed and need to be rescued. Forcing women to work, raising quotas, discouraging relationships with men or having children in spite of the evidence that these people are at the highest risk for clinical depression out of all age, gender and earning groups. It's quite sad. They prefer proving their point against the patriarchy over truly enabling the happiness and health of women everywhere.

Again, this is very much an online thing. The internet's interpretation of feminism is very skewed and no longer means equality in practice in a lot of places. That would be egalitarianism. So, this is why a subreddit like this is labelled as hate. Because it's a train of thought that, truly, liberates women's agency does not force us into making choices that don't benefit anyone but the person proving a point.

[–]DelicateDevelopment5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I think a lot of the RPW concepts are in contradiction to what from a feminist perspective is considered politically correct.

It basically happens everywhere. That what does not want to be heard or causes unpleasant feelings or cognitive dissonance is suppressed by various means. One of the labels by which this is done is "hate-speech" or "microagression".

RPW goes against the official feminist narrative, so it is discredited.

[–]stripedtanker0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It hates mainstream views.

[–]lovelyllamas48 points49 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

“Let us know your decision” lmao what a condescending hateful tone.

[–][deleted]  (16 children) | Copy Link

[–]no_re-entry13 points14 points  (15 children) | Copy Link

They have bots that look so they don’t have to be creeps. They can also run their sub how they like :/ sucks, but it is what it is

[–]Mewster18181 Star15 points16 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The irony is that the whole idea of the sub is to share potentially unpopular stories and opinions, except you can't post there if you have unpopular stories and opinions.

[–]pilled21[S] 7 points8 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

it isn't a bot. here is the rest of the conversation:

[–][deleted]  (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]pilled21[S] 4 points5 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

defo mentally ill, they messaged me after they permanently banned me from the subreddit too

[–]no_re-entry4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah dang, people have no lives I swear lol

[–][deleted]  (8 children) | Copy Link

[–]no_re-entry5 points6 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

I mean, what’s the difference between that and saying that you don’t want to hang with a certain type of person? Everyone has the right to decide who they hang with

[–][deleted]  (6 children) | Copy Link

[–]no_re-entry2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Lmfao wanna read something hilarious? I also just got banned! As a man I don’t comment here much, mostly observe and learn. Guess they finally caught me 😂

[–][deleted]  (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]no_re-entry1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Off my chest

[–]no_re-entry1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah you’re right there

[–][deleted]  (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]no_re-entry1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

If you do hmu pls

[–]Opiumbrella336 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Up front I disagree with a lot of things said in this sub. I'm a traditional liberal, rad fem leaning, and I have to say this is utterly ridiculous. Ive been accused of being "alt right" because I sub to this and some other groups, but I sub to groups and like to interact in good faith with differing points of view. Where as EVERY SINGLE FEMINIST AND WOMAN AND LEFTIST group has banned me, for wrong think. Usually because I defend the fact that women are a distinct sex class, and deserve to keep their safe spaces. Either way, I'm utterly embarrassed by, and sick of the censorious, hateful, regressive, and misogynistic behavior and beliefs of part of my own political party.
It's embarrassing.

[–]1987dd198718 points19 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

I’m banned from posting/commenting on r/breakingmom because I posted on r/redpillwomen. Similar message

[–][deleted]  (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]1987dd19878 points9 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

It’s true about them being miserable, it’s really sad! And you can super easily see how redpill tenets would make huge differences in their relationships and their lives.

[–]Defiant-Source6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

So many moms on that subreddit are so aggressive in their attitude towards their baby and their husband... Like why did you even decide to pursue this kind of life if you're not willing to work with it and make it the best you can be? Way to cause yourself misery. It's one thing to be frustrated and vent and another to say horrible things about your own FAMILY.

[–][deleted]  (3 children) | Copy Link

[–]Cultivate_a_Rose24 points25 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

"Freedom of speech" doesn't apply because Reddit is a private company.

But practically, this is why most of us have multiple accounts, to duck that nonsense. We're free to make our decisions, and they are free to make their (wrong) decisions. That's it. Fin. Protect yourself.

[–]pilled21[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

i agree but the same thing happens with public companies where they target the right. i will continue occupying their territories though :D

[–]Horangi19873 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Reddit was sold to a Chinese parent company some time back. I am not surprised at all that it’s heavily monitored and/or censored, unfortunately.

[–]FaceToPie9 points10 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Just go to /r/TrueOffMyChest

[–]lawyercatgirl9 points10 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

That’s terrible. Most subs have a rule against this - going through a user’s comment/post history to launch a personal attack. Apparently, you’re not the only one to have dealt with this from that sub.

ETA: I just got a message permanently banning me from that sub even though I literally have never posted there or participate in that sub. What the fuck.

[–]AtDaLastMinute6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

(M) here, I was banned there for replying to someone at a trump sub. (Shrugs)

[–]External_Visit84167 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Omg I literally just replied to someone here and got banned from posting on r/offmychest. I’m not even “all in” on RPW if you will. So dumb.

[–]Ivabighairy16 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Anything Red Pill will get you banned. I’ve been jettisoned by a bunch of groups. I have more to offer them than they have to offer me so it’s comical to me.

[–]Astronomy_4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I got banned from this subreddit for like two years for simply being a part of a different, unrelated sub. Actually ridiculous. Who gets to decide what is hateful and what is not? It’s literally all just opinions, as long as you aren’t attacking someone. People preach equality and inclusivity until someone may potentially disagree with them.

[–]catcatcat0002 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Geez that's nuts. I haven't seen any hate in this sub (though TRP is definitely a different matter). Just ladies who value themselves and want to be their best!

[–]RiseAndPanic5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I think it’s because this sub gets lumped in with TRP when in reality, it’s nothing at all like that. This is actually one of the mildest and least hateful subs out there in my experience. I really like r/offmychest too, that’s a shame.

[–]__CitrusJellyfish3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This happens to me frequently. Constant bullying and being called out (with no mention in my posts or comments about anything rpw related) on other subs who trawl through my post history- it’s actually mostly been from men so far

[–]TheLemming6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I was banned from blue pill for similarly reactive reasons. I think it's a good moment to remember that some people in this world are just not so bright, lack critical thinking skills, or really possibly are actually very young and ignorant, and that your own self worth has to come from within and not be based on what some random internet dummy thinks of you! Don't worry, no one subreddit is your life 😛

[–]purpleand202 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Hate subs? I've been here for years, and I've yet to find anything that have ever come across as hateful. It's clear they made assumptions instead of actually looking through the posts here lol.

ETA: what do you know, I'm permanently banned from not one or two, but three subs!

How awesome is that?! /s

[–]lovelyllamas1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is literally the least hateful sub out of all the subs I’m subscribed to!

[–]sapc23 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I got banned from a mom sub (I don't remember which) because I've simply commented here. It's so silly.

[–]thesixthamethyst3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I got banned from a moms subreddit for subbing here. I hadn’t even contributed here yet. I wasn’t too bummed, I thought that while the community could be great at times, they were often really inadvertently toxic (you were never allowed to criticize, even in a kind and constructive manner, so really unhealthy behavior was often perpetuated).

I guess I figure if a community is that obnoxiously concerned about muting people who have dissenting views, even though they follow the sub rules, then it’s probably not a community worth being a part of.

[–]goblinkate3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

What, who or what are we supposed to hate through, was there like... a newsletter I missed?

[–]RRBeachFG26 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Your sub has the name Red in it, Red starts with the letter R, Republican starts with the letter R, Checkmate hate-monger /s j/k love u ladies

[–]dachshund_chick961 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

If the content could be thought of as even remotely conservative, it must be a hate sub (all the eye-rolling and sarcasm🙄). Talk about intolerance😅. I don’t spend a ton of time here, but every time that I’ve stopped in to lurk, I have yet to see anything hateful.

[–]MajIssuesCaptObvious1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Redpill anything is automatically considered "hate" to several subs.

If you want to post on there, you can create a separate username and only sub to their group. They'll warn that that's not allowed but there's little they can do to find out if you're discreet enough. It's really not worth all the trouble, though. screw them.

[–]emmalai852 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I think that's dumb, but I call my husband Daddy. ;)

[–]pilled21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

i call my boyfriend daddy too hehe ;D

[–][deleted]  (7 children) | Copy Link

[–]lawyercatgirl6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I don’t think you should bring politics into this discussion because it takes away the credibility of the overall point. What I see happening on A LOT of online platforms is over correction. Reddit/Facebook/Twitter have all been blasted for allowing dangerous and violent rhetoric over the past decade a lot of which has resulted in terrible consequences (see: cyber bullying suicide, 2016 election, manifestos of mass shooters going viral, etc.)

I think hopefully there will be more of a balance at some point, but yeah I agree with others that you need to understand what TRP has meant for a lot of people (understandably so) and how they can assume this sub subscribes to that exact same ideology since, ya know, it’s in the name.

[–]piratebabygirl19 points20 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm a liberal and a redpillwife. The two are not mutually exclusive. I have lurked and posted, rarely, in this sub for years. The best part of being born an American is having the right to live my life how I choose. And I will defend your right to choose the life you want to live, even if it differs from mine.

This post is the first time I've seen hate spewed in this sub. Careful, you do not become what you claim to despise.

[–]bow_lolly15 points16 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Literally same - I am liberal in the sense my political views are left-leaning I guess. However, I aspire for traditional values in my life and like to adhere to the “feminine” role. That’s just my choice and I believe everyone should be able to choose what’s right for them. I love this sub and it’s so sad that people think it’s a hateful one, when it just isn’t.

Edit: just wanted to add I don’t have any other form of social media, so I can’t comment on the political content on them. So maybe I’m missing something here.

[–]External_Visit84165 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Thank you for saying this. I feel the same way and it’s disheartening to read comments claiming we’re angry, self-loathing, and hateful... It kind of seems like the other way around haha

[–]BeholdTheHair-2 points-1 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Progressives are many things, but "liberal" ain't one of 'em.

[–]blueberrypanda1-5 points-4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

So true. They pretend to love freedom and democracy but really they are communists at heart and want to erase anything that doesn’t for their narrow-minded agenda.

[–]moneygang4life1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Dam that’s shitty af.

[–]CountTheBees11 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

What's new... consumeproduct, KiA, the donald etc. Honestly surprised that TRP is only quarantined - perhaps it fits in too well with the Marxist goal of destruction of the family? Who knows.

But expect another cull shortly, and when RPW is gone, I can finally delete reddit.

[–]TheBunk_TB0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't feel bad. I got banned from a sub for trying to help someone out.

Celebrate the little things and know that you might be doing something right

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I have previously commented in r/offmychest and just now made my first comment in RPW, for which I received a permanent ban from OMC

[–]Syn-Ack-Attack0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Hive mind. People fear what they don’t understand

[–]linkofinsanity190 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

"No matter the content". So no free thought. Good things can never come from one they see as bad from a particular group. When this type of thinking is applied to a group that happens to have the same color skin, it's called racism. When applied to a group that has differing opinions it's okay.

[–]mtriad0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I'd actually raise this with Reddit support and contest it. Worth the try.

[–]reikai-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I think one of the worst parts about Reddit are the mods who aren't fully paying attention and getting it. This is one of the best subs I've seen, compared to so many others that are throwing their hands up, blaming others, etc. Everyone here (that I've seen) is trying to be better, or helping others be better.

Sorry, OP.

[–]JoinMyFramily0118999-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm casually subbed here. But you may want to check /r/banned. There are stories like this over there multiple times a day.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
