Hello ladies,

Hope everyone here had a wonderful week!

Let's enter a new one together with a fresh attitude. No matter how far you feel from your goals, or how much you 'slipped'...it's a new day, and a new opportunity to do better! Consistency makes good habits.

"The first and best victory is to conquer self." - Plato

It's so easy to get caught up in external factors. I found myself coming up with excuses a lot this week, especially when I was hamstering or emotionally overwhelmed from my own doing. The more I did this, the lower my self-esteem became. Whenever my self-esteem plummets, my relationships struggle.

As we know, mastering ourselves is the key to improving our external relationships and circumstances. Self-mastery is directly correlated to self-esteem, and we know that good self-esteem means better relationships and reactions to our partners and loved ones.

• The more you practice self-mastery and self-control, the more you like and value yourself;

• The more you discipline yourself, the greater is your sense of self-respect and personal pride;

• The more you practice self-discipline, the better is your self-image. You see yourself and think about yourself in a more positive way. You feel happier and more powerful as a person.

“No Excuses: The Power of Self-Discipline.” Brian Tracy

These points can easily be applied to our temptations to nag, criticize, focus on "our own needs" rather than others, etc. The list goes on.

Good luck this week! Let's hear your victories as well as the areas that need some improvement. :)
