What is the RPW stance on dating RP men?

RP men typically have goals that don't coincide with those of RP women. Dating a man who views waiting for sex, commitment, and/or marriage and children negatively is a bad idea when those are precisely your goals.

The two groups just acknowledge the same biological and social truths and use them to get their very different wants. They're still wildly different end games, though.

TRP? Probably not.

RP men and BP women tend to be focused on how best to protect their own interests, and more power to them. But this tends to butt heads with the needs of a typical relationship.

I would think the same tactics still apply. Being aware of your nature doesn't mean you've overcome it.

I personally prefer my purple-y husband.

Their whole goal is self serving and not very pro-women. They have philosophies like “spinning plates” (seeing multiple women) and “negging” (bullying) their partners. Infidelity and emotional abuse are not conducive to happy, long term, relationship in my personal opinion.

I think you’ll also find a lot of these men use TRP as an outlet for their dislike of women due to lack of success. Every time I see a man VERY into TRP and pick-up culture, I imagine he’s not showered in a while. A man whinging on the internet just doesn’t scream “strong leader” to me.

My husband has no idea about any of the pills and I like it that way. He very happily takes the lead and wants our future to look mostly traditional (with me being the homemaker and him being the breadwinner) but he’s also kind, caring and totally devoted to me (as I am to him).

His following of RP should have nothing to do with a someone's vetting decision.

There are good men who happen to follow TRP, and there are good men who don't happen to follow TRP.

Not all good men follow RP. In fact I'd argue most RP guys aren't good men. Most men turning to RP do so after not having a good time dating, getting burned, or feeling taken advantage of.

Ultimately, dating someone following TRP is a high risk - high reward strategy. It's very risky and it's not really something I'd recommend unless someone was at the absolute top of her game and with an otherwise good man who happens to follow RP.

I personally ended up with someone who follows RP and this has been an incredibly rewarding and wonderful relationship, however, he would have ticked all the boxes of being a HVM and RP was never a factor in that criteria.

Honestly, it depends upon what RP tactics a man is using and why.

For example, a man understanding and keeping frame is attractive. Knowing how to have and keep confidence, manage your cool, and to maintain leadership rather than being nagged/convinced to defer leadership and embrace betahood, are good things for a healthy relationship.

On the other hand, a man using dread game is manipulative. To an extent dread is just a man having boundaries: but too often it's used proactively to manipulate a needy girl into not straying. That's unhealthy and undesirable.

Put another way, a man who uses RP wisdom to better himself and his interaction with the world is a positive. A man who uses it to get laid in the short term is a negative from a LTR-minded RPW point of view because the goals of the man and the woman are not in synch.

Sorry, I’m hear just to embrace my ideal life as a feminine woman who likes traditional things. Idk if I want to date a redpill guy tbh😅 They seem super picky and overly demanding to me. But I guess I’d actually would have to meet a decent one to change my mind.

I just look for the qualities I like and want in a man. You’d be surprised how naturally masculine some men can be that don’t share those beliefs but have those traits you’d hoped for. They think for themselves, ambitious, protective, etc.

You just got to keep an eye out for them and look in the right places. Men who are purple leaning are definitely ideal for me.

I feel like most RP men just look for sex and are anti-marriage... Not all! but definitely most, at least recently. They seem so negative to me. I feel like RP also became a kind of a trend recently with younger men? I know some guys irl that proclaim themselves as RP, and most of them preach about traditional marriage but then go on saying you shouldn't marry and shouldn't be "too" committed to a girl..... so, for me it's a no.

Wow. Some of the responses make me feel like I've fallen through a portal to FDS Lite.

A couple of notes/observations:

First, the "goals" of RPW and TRP are not necessarily congruent.

"The Cardinal Rule of Sexual Strategies: For one gender’s sexual strategy to succeed the other gender must compromise or abandon their own." - Rollo Tomassi.

I am not sure why it is surprising that the men of TRP choose to further their own sexual strategy instead of doing what women think men should do, which, again unsurprisingly, would benefit women. Men, after all, have to solve for "sex and female companionship" - women have to solve for, well, everything else (which men typically manage on their own, or through cooperation with other men. We call it "Civilization". We invented it and own the patent.)

Second, a lot of guys (probably most) find TRP because they just had their hearts ripped out by their wife or girlfriend and want to understand why. Prior to the quarantine, guys would turn up after googling "Why did my girlfriend break up with me?"

TRP is often criticized for "hating women" because it's easier to dismiss and marginalize us that way - Full Disclosure: I do not hate women - I am actually rather quite fond of women, particularly the sunny and cooperative ones - nor do I think anyone should. I even wrote a top-level post about it for the guys who are pissed off. The guys who seem like they "hate women" really hate that what they have been educated to believe will bring them success with women...does NOT bring them success with women. Bear in mind that probably most RPM (and most men in general) just want a girlfriend that they find attractive and who is nice to them. The saddest guys are those that get married and think they've "won", when in reality they have just entered "Hard Mode."

I was lamenting the other day (yes, even me the Dark Lord of TRP) to a young, female, um, "acquaintance", that relations between the sexes should be a lot easier - we were meant to cooperate after all - Me (in a jocular tone): "Hey, I notice you have some heavy boxes you need moved. Let me get that for you. Oh, and while I'm up, do you have any jars you need opened? And that 'check engine' light that's on in your car? Let me handle that for you." Her (similarly light-heartedly): "That would be GREAT! Oh, and speaking of boxes, I have a magic one I keep between my legs that grants wishes. Here, let me show you..."

Sadly, things do not often go as smoothly....

Having said that, I think RPW "get" this more than others, which is why I drop in here and dispense RP advice in a way that is practical and actionable for RPW - "Hey, isn't that...yes it is...but isn't he the Dark Lor...yes he is...but why is he being so chill? Dunno. Just roll with it." - I guess I'm just fond of you. /heh
