Came across this on a news feed.

TL;DR Korean agency weeds out aspiring models by making them have sex with the CEO/sponsors and taking out loans for the agency. Okay not exactly good biz practice. But as a woman, you can always walk away. These women didn't.

The reactions based on nationality are vastly different. Just goes to show the effects of FEMINISM on a society. Here you have reasoned judgments by Koreans:

[+781, -92] Why is it that I'm taking away from this the notion that women think about selling their bodies as nothing if they can get plastic surgery and a model debut out of it? Are women really like this nowadays? So if they really did end up debuting as a model, the sex would have been nothing, right? At the end of the day, the difference between sexual assault and consensual sex is how the woman uses it to her advantage, it seems.

.

[+25, -2] In the end, the decision is up to you. I auditioned for a movie and got in but they expected money and sexual services so I just left. It's been three years and that movie still hasn't been released. The decision's up to you, I don't know why people try to justify their actions when they were greedy and did what they ultimately didn't have to do. Don't act like the victim when you acted on your own free will.

.

[+21, -3] So if they did all that and debuted, this wouldn't even be in the news. They only reported it because they didn't get what they wanted.

On the other hand, take a look at some of the Disqus comments by feminist international kpop fans:

These women are vulnerable and so disgusting people are taking advantage of them. If they made a bad decision to offer their bodies in exchange for opportunities, they should be given them. Plus it's hardly fair to say they all do such things out of 'free will'. It seems they are pressured into things with false promises and being exploited. Instead of blaming the women who are forced to accept that 'this is the way of the industry', the real problem that needs to be addressed is why such people are allowed to get away with exploiting them. A lot of these girls are probably young and naive and should be protected not blamed.

Yes, if they made a bad decision, they STILL should be given the reward. Wow...

Personal comment: this is why I hate that Korean culture has gotten popular internationally. I have to deal with 5'2" chubby cunts like this who try to speak Korean and do cringey flashmob dances.
