A little background. Bryan was a high school kid, and likely future NFL star, who was convicted of raping a girl who he had "made out" with.

First, you can listen to Bryan tell the story in the following podcast. He starts telling the story at about 25mins in. He talks about it for about 30mins. They discuss her psychology a bit, so it's definitely worth a listen.

Second, a PI caught the accuser confessing with hidden video.

Here's a news story and the video about that:

I thought you guys might like this story. I think it's interesting for a few reasons.

First, the whole issue of false rape claims. There was no intercourse, they weren't even in a private location, yet he was convicted. Goes to show just how easy it is to falsely convict someone of rape.

Second, the way the justice system treated the case. Banks' accuser had absolutely no credibility, changing her story many times, outright lying, and zero evidence. Yet, the justice system found no flaws with her. In many ways, the story mirrors Patrice O'Neil's false conviction for rape.

Third, female psychology. Gibson's actions throughout are almost completely nonsensical unless perhaps you apply TRP theory. Here's a good story regarding the girl's psychology and case:

Shortly after noon, Gibson slipped a note to a classmate that read: "Sherell I went to the bathroom in the 700 building and brian banks was in there and he is so big he picked me up and put me in the elevator and he took me down stairs and he pulled my pants down and he rapped (sic) me and he didn't have an (sic) condom on and I was a virgin now Im not. Dont tell anyone."

I'm sure there are other aspects of interest.

TL;DR: Here's the whole story in 12 mins from 60 minutes the TV show

A brief note about the money. She won 1.5 million from the district. Half went to attorneys. I'm guessing half went to taxes. That leaves $375,000. She supposedly bought a bunch of cars. The average price of a car is around 32,000. That gives her about 11 cars. Why I wanted to crunch these numbers, don't know. Just curious.

Her ten second lie only took ten years from his life. So in the end, no biggie.

Be careful out there, gentlemen.
