Former frat guy here. Here are some tips:

Do NOT affiliate with any national organization. Do NOT affiliate with any university.

Why?

Because then they will have your balls in a mason jar.

Don't be official. Don't be chartered. It's all a scam so that people with extremely dubious authority (Who the fuck elects a University "president," certainly not the students.) can rob you of your accumulated property when the time is right.

These institutions will try to regulate how you socialize and throw parties.

Here's the thing, if you throw cool parties, girls will come. Some will even be sorority girls, not that should matter, because they're not all they're cracked up to be. Sorority girls are supposed to stick with affiliated, charted organizations, but naturally some will be come over on the down low or unofficially.

Also, make sure you don't physically injure anyone when you initiate them. Stay away from drunks, drug addicts, guys that just want pussy, etc. Go for quality instead of quantity. You'll need numbers to make it work in the long-term. Have some sort of goal that ties people together for their mutual benefit. Sharing expenses and saving money is a good goal. Starting a business is a good goal. Anything that generates money is a good goal. Profits should be distributed to members.

Do everything in your power not to attract unwanted attention. Institutions view you as a threat and as competition and will try to take you down. Use property that is off-campus for partying.

Keep your parties under control. Don't allow fights to happen. Have a team of brothers who are sober act as bouncers. Know everyone who is coming and make sure people that bring people clear it in advance.

It is common for the schools to target fraternities with nark squads to try and steal their charter so the university can get the property for cheap; meanwhile, they do nothing about the bars and liquor stores that sell alcohol at a premium, and they don't bust house parties. Keep everything unofficial. In fact, it might be a good idea to NOT bill yourself as a fraternity at all. It might be better to keep the fraternal aspect a complete secret and only advertise to guys that are cool that there is actually such an organization. To outsiders, you can simply be known as that cool group of guys that throws parties.

Finally, it can't be about alcohol and partying. That stuff is only good in moderation. Take it from someone who saw firsthand how people became degenerates and wasted their youth. Strive to be better than that. Don't use Animal House as a model.

DC here. A masculine community in the area would be awesome. I only object to a few things...

It shouldn't be Red pill affiliated, I don't want my name on the red-pill brand as it's a scarlet letter. While RP is a great organizer and primer for many, we should strive to identify ourselves my our principles and not by a forum on the internet. A masculine gang creates its own set of beliefs and values.
Many in the RP community (including myself) have a negative opinion of academia and think that this should not be linked to any university or frankly any institution at all. In the end we are just a gang of men, the value from this project would come from the relationships themselves. We don't need any system to validate our legitimacy, especially from those that would want to see us fail.
In the long term this fraternity should be completely separate from the trp page, never advertising here. The difficulty lies in who are included in the initial meet up, how we vet for infiltrators and losers.
Your last line where you say you want to establish a few chapters and 'take the reigns and help those nationally' worries me. I for one have no interest in starting some huge national campaign and no one here should either. I want a small community that I can bond with, practice athletic and other masculine activities, discuss text's that are too controversial for my liberal school, and cultivate my own concept of what it means to be a man in a way that's impossible by simply reading books or trp, by associating with other men who share my masculine values.

Saw the other thread on this, and the subsequent debate. Don't think it's necessarily a bad idea. All I would add is, if you're really going to do this, you may need to use some Freemason-like tactics to ensure anonymity and/or plausible deniability, just in case.

Things like this are sure to draw the attention of enemies ...

As someone who misses his college days a lot mainly because he was in a fraternity during that time and wishes he could go back to that experience, I love this idea but have some important suggestions. After reading this thread, I think you should focus on making this fraternity for guys already done with college who don't have that option of being in a fraternity anymore. A fraternity for higher SMV guys past college age who don't have the same opportunities for social life and making friends that college itself provided would be a revolutionary idea in a way as well.

The fact of the matter is, most of the alpha and high SMV college guys that go for fraternities are going to rush the high value fraternities at their universities (Lambda Chis, Sigma Chis, etc.) and I am sure that you don't want a fraternity loaded with lower SMV college guys. High value fraternities provide top notch parties that are well funded, opportunities to have socials with the hottest sororities, networking opportunities after college, and an SMV boost in the eyes of college girls. The other issue here is that a lot of high value fraternities are generally envious and don't like their power being challenged, they will ally with social justice warriors if they have to just so they can eliminate any competition.

I think that this idea for guys past college age would be excellent. Maybe higher SMV guys that miss the fraternity experience they had in college or guys who have just obtained a high SMV and looking for a brotherhood would join. The guys who feel that isolation of post college life due to not having social life thrown at them anymore but now bring a lot to the table will welcome this idea of making friends and networking other high SMV men.

Eventually, we can go from brotherhood to throwing parties and even establishing harems of women, it would be like being a stereotypically high SMV fraternity brother after college! But I may be thinking too far ahead of myself here but man I wish that were a reality.........

With marriage rates at an all time low, why not?

I like the idea of meeting up with like minded RP guys and I live in the DC area. That being said, the idea of a RP frat is terrible. I'm almost 40 and married, so I don't fit your target audience anyway ... but I'd love to meet up with some other RP guys in my age group who have kids and would like to do bro shit together.

I hear they had success and their forum is open to the public. As others have said, it may be best to label it as a masculine group and not identifying directly with TRP. As far as I know that's what the NMMNG guys did.

This is an incredibly bad idea, especially if you're in DC.

If you have even a mid-level important position or above in a public or private organization, you should expect the usual suspects (Gawker or whatever organization is spawned from the demonic corpse of their remains) to attack. When this happens, and it will happen, at a minimum you can expect to suffer repercussions both personally and professionally. In reality, you're guaranteed to lose your job.

You are breaking the first rule, and you will reap nothing but ashes.

By all means, start a poker game, a shared garage, or a bowling league, but in no way should it be associated with TRP, even in your heads. If you do, you will fail.

Love seeing all the good input. After pledging a national fraternity (and unfortunately getting dropped due to political drama rather than honest merit) I've had a glimpse of the power of fraternal brotherhood as well as the abuses that some unsavory characters can impose due to their own insecurities; I would love to see this thrive in the North East and work to bring it to the West coast as one of the most lacking areas in my and many other young men's lives' was the presence of a positive-influence group of men to help shape and educate, if not initiate, my understanding of being a man. I strongly agree with the lack of necessity of associating with a university but also consider it prudent to have some kind of presence on campuses to recruit intellectuals that appear amenable to RP truths.

Would love to follow the fraternity's progress and help any way I can.
