Ratings are way down.

It's time might have passed... I've stopped watching.

Back in the "good old days" you could watch football and know you were getting away from the Feminist bullshit, but now you have that and other shit that shouldn't be there trying to brainwash you. The commercials are a problem with all of television and equally so in football.

Turn the television off and that includes football.

Find something better to do than waste three hours.

Maybe the people who play Football Professionaly are Alpha. However not only are the millions of people watching a bunch of beta Cucks but the spectacle of Bread and Circus has mesmerized them so much that they no longer live their lives, but the lives of others. There is nothing more blue pill than bread and Circus that's basically the definition. That's why the government has spent so much money subsidizing stadiums. Because it works.

sports really do help build character. I had a plastic glove playing middle school baseball my first year because my parents didn't know what to buy me since I never played as a kid, and they were immigrants. I couldn't even catch a ball, but with persistence by my junior year I was starting on the varsity team.

One of the things that I like about sports is there's no nepotism or favoritism at least on the field. There isn't an NFL quarterback that has his job because his uncle plays golf with the team owner or one of his frat buddies slid his resume to the top of list. It's a fierce competition, the best person has the job, and there's always 100 guys right on your ass wanting your job.

And unlike many businesses you have a brief window of success when you are young. Everyone eventually gets replaced due to age or lack of performance. The Tom Brady's and the Peyton Manning's are the exception to the rule the average NFL player plays for three years.

I'm sure it's a bitter pill to swallow for Tony realizing that his time is up but that's the nature of the game and kudos to him for showing some class.

you can see on his face he DIDN'T want to be there and say those things, I mean, romo is a decent qb. Thier is no doubt in that. Dak is just playing better right now and has got them to an 8-1 record. ( at the time of the speech) so yeah, he gunna be bench warming and to come out and say the things he did. MAD respect!

I love the sentiment, but the NFL is actually a little bit of a false meritocracy. GMs and coaches want to make their drafting decisions look good, so they often give players they drafted highly undeserved playing time and extra chances, sometimes playing them over other, better players. Coaches, more than anything else, are risk averse.

Judgeing from the statistical body of work, it's very likely that Romo is a better QB than Dak; a true meritocracy would have him playing, but the coaches know that if Dak were to have bad game, they would not be faulted for starting him, whereas if Romo were to have a bad game, the entire media and fan base would be up in arms about switching away from Dak.

Each society runs differently. Western society become less merit based every day (which is a big reason Trump actually managed to win - the revival of capitalism/meritocracy)

This is why I personally despise communism. Not just because of American propaganda (I sure hope) But, because I believe in getting what you work for/meritocracy, which is the essence of capitalism (communism's opposite)
