Summary:

I have read here on so many occasions that the information from TRP cannot come natural. I agree, and never saw anyone capable... until I started analyzing my Uncle. He is as capable as it gets. Here is a guy who is 74, who is doing it right. My uncle comes from a family of 8. There are 4 brothers and 4 sisters. They all grew up in a patriarchal home, where Grandpa was king. My Grandma, Lord rest her soul, stood by my Grandfathers side until he died. Even when he was sick and dying in a nursing home with brain damage, she visited him every single day for 4 years. Of course, she was a God fearing woman who was married at the age of 19 to my Grandfather. Like any hardcore Catholic back then, she didn't believe in birth control, hence the 8 kids. My Uncle Tony is a product of this, and so are my other uncles.

BODY:

A little background on my Uncle Tony:

As I already stated, he is in his mid-70's. Probably one of the funniest bastards I have ever met. Currently, he is not married, but was for approximately 15 years in his 30's and 40's. He has 2 children who are well into adulthood now. For the last 10 years, Uncle Tony has spent 8 months a year living in Thailand, and the other 4 months a year (during hurricane season) living back here in America. He deals diamonds. I think you can put together the other reasons why he might also want to come back to the US for those 4 months a year. Before dealing diamonds, he sold insurance to big companies, and if I had to guess, commanded around 250k a year. That is based on the car he drove and the house he had when I was growing up.

I have asked on numerous occasions throughout my 20's (I am 30 now) if I could come visit him. He looked at me boldly each time and said, "Absolutely not." My guess is that he is afraid that I will never want to leave lol. I have heard rumors from other Uncles (when they were drinking) that he has multiple servants and a compound there. Approximately 5 years ago, I bumped into him during hurricane season at a restaurant. It was here that he sat with a 20 something year old Asian woman. He was not expecting to see me and introduced her as his friend.

More importantly, I came to tell you about an interaction I had with him once. It was him, my mother, and my 2 Aunts. I was there also. Throughout the entire interaction, he displayed a wit and banter I have never seen. I have only seen this in myself (but that wasn't until after TRP).

When I walked into the room, they were all there. After I said hello to everyone, here are some highlights from our conversation:

Aunt: "So Capital_Recognition, how is work going, what are you doing now?"

Uncle Tony: "He is a free-loader." (Laughs)

Me: "Yeah. Why, you got anything for me, Uncle Tony?" (without TRP I would of been fucked and not known what to say)

Someone then brings up diamonds and a lot of speculation gets thrown around...

My mom: "Tony, you're not even helpful. You're a waste." (In somewhat of a playful way)

Uncle Tony: "Well, that is why I am here, to be as unhelpful as possible." (Laughs)

My mom: (starts talking shit)

A lot of the same continues on. When they all left and I was left with my Mom, I had a few questions. I asked her if my Uncle was always like this and she said yes, as far back as she can remember. I told her how I admired how he never took life serious and was able to hold that type of wit throughout a conversation. She said he had always been a, 'ball-buster'. Meaning, he always had the ability to tease everyone. She said he never took anything serious and seemed to have a great life as a result.

Lessons Learned:

Being around my Uncle taught me what it looks like to enjoy life and not take things seriously. It also reminded me what the end game really is, which is freedom to do whatever the fuck you want. He is healthy, and doesn't look 74, and looks like he is having a blast no matter where he is.
