Level 99 hamstering occurs after a girl knowingly hooks up with a man who's taken. /r/relationships blames only the guy.

December 10, 2013

This thread is unreal. Extreme hamstering both before after she realizes he wasn't going to wife her up. Once she found out he was using her "then she found out he had a girlfriend".

I call bullshit. She knew he was taken, fucked him, then when he doesn't return her calls, she cries foul.

Not one person in that thread even points out the obvious fact that she is just as responsible as the guy. Pathetic double standards. Can you imagine the genders being reversed?

Here it is:

hey, I'm the OP of the post this is about. Can someone explain what hamstering is?

Hey, I followed you over from your update thread to tell you... I'm so sorry you ended up falling into this cesspit. You might want to just...crawl out now. Quietly. Before the devil knows you're here.

I wouldn't blame the girl. She is not responsible for keeping relationships sacred. It is the responsibility of the people in the relationship to do so.

I see a lot of stories about males blaming other males for getting their girlfriends to cheat... but people need to realize that it takes two to cheat. The one in the relationship is your partner. If your partner cheats on you, it's not because they were brainwashed by the other party, it's plain and simply that they do not respect you whatsoever.

And yes, there will always be a double standard. But you also need to realize that this is reddit and there are tons of guys, which also means that there will be a disproportionate amount of white knights.

I agree with you that the guy is responsible for his own relationship. If he cheats most of the blame lies on him regardless of whether or not the other woman knew. It doesn't make her innocent and I am sure she did paint herself in a more favorable light, but in the end the guy is the one who cheated not her.

How do you people even read these things? So much meandering and useless information.

Reddit: Writing 1,000 words when 30 would do since 2005.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
