Man is Charged With Sexual Assault While Getting a Haircut

February 23, 2016
25 upvotes

Summary: A man in Madison, Wisconsin gets a haircut; female stylist accuses him of groping her while she was shampooing his hair. The man’s photo is posted in the newspaper and he is arrested on 4th Degree Sexual Contact without Consent: http://www.wkow.com/story/31281209/2016/02/22/madison-man-arrested-for-groping-incident-at-cost-cutters

Body: Rape hysteria is reaching a fever pitch. Here we have an example of another man who is slandered in the public, simply based on a woman’s claim. Note how ridiculous this particular claim is. How can he grope her if he is in a barber’s chair? Wouldn’t he have a tarp over his hands?

What do you think really happened here?

Lessons Learned: You can now be charged with sexual assault during a mundane social interaction.

Just another reason to go to a male barber.... aside from getting a better hair cut.

[–]Lucifer_The_Unclean 9 points10 points  (20 children) | Copy Link

I honestly thought that's what men did. I even get a complimentary beer that I sip through a straw and talk about wars and shit.

[–]Rasalom72 17 points18 points  (11 children) | Copy Link

It used to be what men did. When you could go in and get a shave, and read the paper and get a proper hair cut. And the barber was a professional male.

Then women (feminists) started screeching that is was discrimination (because it was a male space), and that the barbers wouldn't do there hair even though it was the same as a man's haircut... (think about it... a woman with a men's haircut.)

[–]mikesteane 8 points9 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

(think about it... a woman with a men's haircut.)

Maybe you're onto something here. A lot of problems seem to be caused by women with men's haircuts.

Incidentally, there there is tax on getting a shave; pure discrimination against men.

[–]Rasalom72 7 points8 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

It's an underlying symptom of the lack of femininity in today's women... Short hair, no makeup, pants instead of dresses/ skirts/ male oriented jobs/ etc.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

no makeup

I'll dispute this, in my experience they cake on the makeup to hide their ugliness behind a second face.

[–]KhazarKhaganate 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

How do you find one? I haven't found any cheap male barbers in my area.

When I was in other countries, would always have a male barber that did it for cheap.

In US, I've been going to female barbers in "franchise haircut" places for decades. It's worked out ok, but I'm always dissatisfied. It's a bit ridiculous that I have to still pay cheapest $18 for a haircut I could do myself if I could reach backward a little better. I had one plate do one of my haircuts, never again. Luckily she didn't cut much.

Today, can't find a male barber, unless it's some black dude doing gangsta style haircuts for $30. My old-aged dad did that, got a gangsta haircut and it looked funny. He was pretty upset that they didn't just give him a normal haircut.

[–]Rasalom72 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

They exist.. but don't expect them to be cheap. Look for self owned barber shops. No women type places.. not in malls or strip malls/ outlets shops.

[–]Eugenics2015 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Srsly, they give you beer? where do you get your hair cut at?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Ive gone to the same place, a salon, except for a handful of times my whole life since I started bein in charge of myself. It's owned and operated by a 60 something year old gay guy. It's a bit more expensive but the barber shops I went to only really knew how to do buzzcuts and he's always got some sweet little old ladies that try to get me to meet their daughters/granddaughters/nieces etc.

[–]Lucifer_The_Unclean 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Hahaha, fucking use those connections. Older ladies know when they see a real man.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Lmao comment of the day. thank you brother

[–]Luckyluke23 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

i got a male babrber. though they have a lot of females there, I have trouble with them. ( they ain't kids, they are like 40 and know whats up) they just want to get you in and out. that's why I go there, no funny shit, in out and i give them the money

[–]Mattpilf 0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy Link

Go to a barber for a cut with clippers, a stylist for a cut with scissor. Some people don't have cuts that need clippers.

[–]Lucifer_The_Unclean 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't know. I just get a normal haircut.

[–]Mattpilf 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Scissor cuts are normal haircuts. You think they had clippers 150 years ago? Stop this pseudo masculine BS. It's pathetic.

Those with medium to longer hair, or short haircuts on lumpy skulls which a buzz cut would overemphasize the irregularities.

[–]Lucifer_The_Unclean 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't get a buzz. I get a hair cut that leaves like 2 inches or something on the top and slightly shorter on the sides. He knows how to do it.

[–]BlueFreedom420 2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Seriously. Men cut hair better

[–]Philhelm 6 points7 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Men also cook and clean better. I'd wager that gay men probably suck dick better too.

[–]VodkaTankerSpill 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Heh this reminds of days way way back when I browsed other subreddits. The picture one had an image of a thin, dolled up, passable tranny with cup cakes that he made. Most comments derided as the picture being too perfect and an unattainable standard (typical fem hamster bullshit shaming) and someone commented that 'Men are better than women at everything, even being women.'

[–]Philhelm 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

Maybe, but then we're the ones who might get groped. I guess sometimes one just can't win.

[–]Rasalom72 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Getting hit on by guys is a compliment...

[–]Philhelm 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

They probably have a better taste in men than most women.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Fucking seriously, a barber cut isn't just a description of where you got the haircut, it's an actual skill and you have to ask who can do it if you go to a salon, otherwise they're just cutting male hair.

If they don't use a razor to do the shape up, they should be paying you.

[–]joseph_fuzzco_Jr 44 points45 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

This is why I always ask for the based 55 year old Vietnamese lady who barely speaks English.

Jade, if you're reading this, you're amazing and I love you.

Edit: She talks shit on the SJW hairdressers all the time, thinks liberal arts degrees are essentially worthless, and has no kids. I would honestly rethink my views on marriage if she were into me.

scroll through the sections and you can find the explanation

[–]1v1mebruh 11 points12 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Fuck ya shout out to my homegirl Lan at Supercuts. 40+ year old Vietnamese woman with a thick accent, gives great haircuts. Probably helps that I flirt with her nonstop every time I go but that's besides the point.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

Lesson: when the girl behind the counter (wherever it is) asks what you do, lie. Damn few investment bankers and engineers get accused of sexual assault by female service industry employees.

[–]bokehnikon 4 points5 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

investment bankers

I see what you're saying, but they do get divorce-raped a lot.

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedBigMan 8 points9 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Only if they're stupid enough to get married in the first place.

[–]0kool74 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep............TRP wouldn't exist if men would stop doing that stupid shit!

[–]twatbutter 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Career-smarts/intellectual-smartness don't always equate to being privy to RP notions. They seldom do, really.

[–]SoRedSuchAlpha 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Bankers get accused of harassment and assault all the time. I happen to think it's cause they commit a lot of harassment and assault, but if you were going to invent an accusation you'd accuse someone with money.

[–][deleted] 36 points37 points  (8 children) | Copy Link

  1. Be aware he might actually be groping her, best not to jump to conclusions based on your facebook feed

  2. Be attractive, don't be unattractive. These problems will largely go away

  3. I assume there are witnesses? Does he have a plan to "guard his reputation with his life?" You can't control what happens outside yourself, but can control what you do about it. In this case, assuming it's baseless, she's playing for blood, and needs to do the same. If it's a valid charge, then perhaps not groping people in public is a good course?

[–]bokehnikon 28 points29 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

Be attractive, don't be unattractive.

It's not sexual harassment if the guy is a Chad.

[–]says_harsh_things 14 points15 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

That was the first thing I thought too. The girl that cuts my hair drops her tips in my face when she washes my hair and laughs about it.

Edit - that was supposed to be tits but my phone autocorrected it. I'm going to leave it. It's still technically correct.

[–]Senior Contributordr_warlock 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

or a muslim. He's just disadvantaged and needs some understanding.

[–]KhazarKhaganate 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

It kinda works both ways.

Imagine for a moment, you're at some professional place, and this fat old lady keeps groping your butt. You're trying to work, she's back and she gropes you as she passes by. You may get irritated, maybe you won't go for a harassment lawsuit because you're a man and you don't find it threatening because you're not a pussy... But you might eventually tell her to fuck off after a while.

Most men would be giggling too if the fat groping old lady was a hot young blond groping lady. 90% of you would ask her number, don't fucking lie.

However, I do think there is an epidemic of "omg men oppressors everywhere!" And some woman crying and saying "he groped me! He's such a creep!" ... "oh so what did he do?" ... " he brushed his shoulder against my stomach as I was trying to shampoo his hair..." ... "so he didn't actually grope you?"... "not really but I bet you he wanted to!! It felt like he was groping me!"

Remember the Arnold Schwarzenegger groping breasts and buttocks of other actresses incidents? I wonder what happened with that and why he was never prosecuted. Was it all imagined or was it just a powerful man getting away with it? Or a news media trying to stop his governorship?

That's the trouble with these things, cannot prove either way and both opposite situations are possible.

[–]J_AsapGem 5 points6 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

i literally was just saying this before i read your comment, if you're not attractive do not try anything at all with women, an example with this is, i have a friend really good looking guy, has tons of ladies he's a " chad " as you guys would say, he walked up to a girl and said " girllll you want breeding for looking like that " she then continued to giggle and said, what's your name?

[–]KhazarKhaganate 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

lol like as if the words out of his mouth don't matter.

[–]redadactyl 5 points6 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Bought a $15 pair of clippers from Target a decade ago. Taught myself how to cut my hair. Never looked back.

[–]says_harsh_things 17 points18 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

never looked back

I dunno man, I'd at least use a mirror or something. How do you know if it's evenly cut?

[–]redadactyl 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Its not called the "mentally unstable" haircut for nothing.

[–]tb87670 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Done the same thing, except the damn Wahl clippers I kept buying would last only a year until I bought a good Remington set. I'm balding, so I don't have a rat's nest on my head I barely have any hair come off. I just #1 buzz my entire head top and beard and call it good. Women dig it more than I expected.

[–]redadactyl 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Im not gonna lie and say that I've oiled and taken care of my clippers, in fact they get abused pretty bad, I probably got lucky with a good pair. But I will say that mine are all metal and were made in the USA compared to the plastic stuff I see in the stores today.

edit: When I start losing my hair I'm going to follow your lead bud, the close cut usually always works if your jacked.

[–]MeatCurtainRod 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Go to a barber. These elaborate feminine hair salons are not the realm of men. They can cut men's hair, but then again, I guess some men don't mind being fabulous and being charged twice cost for the same effort and time from a barber. Me on the other hand, high-and-tight is the way to go.

[–]Senior EndorsedMattyAnon 17 points18 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

This is an actual arrest, rather than a mattress-girl publicity stunt. It's quite possible that it happened exactly as described.

Incidents like this do sometimes happen exactly as described. You could argue this is a police matter, or you could argue that she could just walk away (especially as it happened more than once). Personally I take a middle line between these two extremes.

Thing is... everyone gets inappropriately groped by members of the opposite sex. Happens to women, happens to men, it's happened to me. And it's really not a big fucking deal and doesn't need to result in arrest except in extreme circumstances. And with proof, obviously.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I think his point is that the dude's face is plastered everywhere when he's only been charged not convicted

[–]Senior EndorsedMattyAnon 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Same is true of all crimes. And it's wrong.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Sorry, but when I was younger and better looking, Id get groped all the time by ugly women in bars/nightclubs. Not a nice feeling. I even pushed one bitch against the wall for sticking her hand down my pants.

Just because Im a man, doesnt mean "its not a big deal". It IS a big deal. Its a total violation of privacy and my body.

[–]Senior Contributordr_warlock 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

I dont understand, without video footage or witnesses, how do you prove this?

[–]Senior EndorsedMattyAnon 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Presumably without video or witness it's dead in the water. I hope so.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't know Jian Ghomeshi went to trial on basically 3 stories which could have easily been dismissed long before seeing the inside of a courtroom. However now it's a poster child case for proper discovery work. I hope they charge the women in this case with perjury and conspiracy however the crown is so disadvantaged to do this that it has a fat chance of ever happening in Canadian courts.

[–]HS-Thompson 9 points10 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

  1. Who the fuck cares.

  2. This has nothing to do with TRP.

  3. Who the fuck cares.

[–]bokehnikon 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

You can now be charged with sexual assault during a mundane social interaction.

Sexual assault doesn't have to happen in a dark alley. Innocent until proven guilty, although unfortunately in these cases there's already been a trial by media.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I hope this a false case. But jumping to conclusions is bad. Might make me blind.

[–]ripross 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

His mistake was having a woman cut his hair. Real barbers are men and are much better at cutting mens hair. But maybe that's why he went there, for a woman's captured attention. Either way it's hard to feel sorry for him. His haircut probably wasn't even worth the trouble.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Poor dude. This is why men's barbers should cut men's hair and female hair salons should tend to women. Or even better just cut your own hair if that is all you do with your hair.

[–]Bricklayer-gizmo 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

By the looks of this fella alone i would say it is a very real possibility that he was getting handsy, he looks like a drunk. Besides, this is what happens to you if you dont take care of yourself. Lift, Lift, Lift.

[–]Lord_shitmeister 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

The USA/anglo saxon world at large is all sorts of fucked up. I mean we have extreme feminism in continental europe but it didn't ever become a witch hunt.

[–]WalterEArmstrong 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It's certainly POSSIBLE to grope a woman whilst seated in a barber's chair but it's a she said/he said situation without a video. That the guy was arrested is stunning beyond belief but that's the reality of life in 21st century America.

[–]malcolypse 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, hes leaning back, tarp pulled up, she's leaning over him, it's certainly possible.

Lesson: Wear a camera/recording device and have 3 witnesses at all times. It's never safe out there.

[–]FrodoMaiBaggins 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

That's nice, having your name and picture on news for a sexual assault claim. Now everyone will think you're some creepy rapist even though you are innocent. He's fucked if he lives in a small town. It has never been easier to ruin someones life with false accusations.

[–]Eugenics2015 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

probably did it tbh. No shed tears for thirsty men

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
