Maxims by Francois La Rochefoucauld.

Awesome collection of maxims written by the French philosopher. FLR was a part of the French Court and was basically a socialite. He just went around observing all the nobles and their lies, backstabbing, affairs, and sex. It is very easily digestible and very, very enlightening. I read it in high school when I was disillusioned with the world (dramatic, I know lol) and it literally changed my world view. It is basically a commentary on human nature and how the only person you can depend on is yourself. Very RP stuff. Lots of comments on women, women's emotions, relationships and sex. He even criticizes beta men and those who choose to be mediocre, for "moderation is the refuge of the mediocre". It's just amazing how many of them ring true today...

Among the required reading for all PUAs were books on evolutionary theory: The Red Queen by Matt Ridley, The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins, Sperm Wars by Robin Baker. You read them, and you understand why women tend to like jerks, why men want so many sexual partners, and why so many people cheat on their spouses.

There are some CRUCIAL things that you will not find in any book. A great example is the writings of F. Roger Devlin (see the sidebar for one: Sexual Utopia in Power).

Others include some classic blog posts such as the 16 Commandments at Chateau Heartiste, or CH post titled "Chicks Dig Jerks: Game Is Its Own Status".

Dropping in to recommend Robert Greene. He has a written a lot of RP material pertaining to life AND women, specifically:

The 48 Laws of Power

The Art of Seduction

The 33 Strategies of War

I've read the 50th Law, and I could take it or leave it. I might read it again and post my impressions. Have not read 'Mastery'.

Note that a lot of the sources Greene used to write the three books above are highly red pill in their own right. The most notable of these sources is probably Balthasar Gracian, who was like a Spanish Machiavelli.

This is a fantastic thread and I am very impressed by the quality of the recommendations.

To push things in another direction, I would recommend that you read Plato. You can get the collected works in a single volume edited by J. M. Cooper.

I recommend this because no other author than Plato (and his subject, Socrates) will make you realize your ignorance and reliance on bad assumptions more quickly. He will pull away nonsense from you.

Ayn Rand had a pretty clear idea of what she wanted in men. That is, she had no doubt that what she wanted was an uber alpha. her descriptions of how men should be, while an exaggeration, really capture a refined notion of alpha.

The fountainhead is great

I am in the middle of Atlas Shrugged, and though I don't like it as much, it is also good, with good alpha description.
