TL:DR saw a commercial about how to stop sexual assault and it kept showing guys being the assailant, and women the victims.

I know, TV is a feminized cesspool designed to cater to the lowest common denominators (women), but every once in a while, you really see it in action.

Case in point, the above mentioned commercial... it shows a few different clips of guys doing something "bad" to a woman (sharing increasingly dirty pics of her, dosing her drink, rubbing her shoulders, etc) and the guy looks at the camera and says something along the lines of "Thanks for not... telling HR/ the bartender/ the teachers, etc".

At the end, the tag line was "If you're helping him, you're not helping her." And all the different females looked at the camera and said "Thanks for telling the bartender/ HR/ etc"... you get the idea.

What struck me when I saw this was the fact that all the assailants were guys, and all the victims are female. Because we all know guys can't get sexually assaulted. Also, in every instance, the guys that were doing the "bad" things were doing them to women... WHO HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT WAS HAPPENING TO THEM?!?!

One girl was passed out on a couch, another let the guy take pictures of her (she was looking right at the camera), another was just sitting there while the guy rubber her shoulders (not saying a damned thing), etc... in most of these examples, the women didn't do a thing to "help" themselves, but expected someone esle to do it for them.

I was litterally gob smacked sitting there looking in disbelief at this load of crap... like why do you need someone else to look after you? Why are you in the position of needing that help in the first place?

I know.. it's an awareness campain, so females are week and helpless, and men are evil, etc... Just thought I would share..

Lessons learned:

Media is not even remotely concerned with making females accountable for their actions. It's never her fault.

Women need protection from men, even if they could do it themselves.
