TL:DR Science says gut bacteria might be responsible (partly) for people becoming obese.

So I was watching a documentary last night (The Nature of Things), and they went into this whole program about gut bacteria, and how some cows just "can't lose weight" no matter what they do, and so fatty says "my bacteria made me do it"....

And I looked at this and said to myself, well, it's amazing that even science is helping to remove the responsibility of having to take ownership of you own body..... I'm not fat because I eat to much and don't exercise.... Something happened to me!! It's not my fault!

Sounds familiar? I wonder how much is actual science, and how much is "there must be a problem because it can't be MY fault" type of thinking.

Admittedly, there must be a small percentage of people who actually have a defective body, and thus will be obese through no fault of their own... but I find it convenient that now, everyone will be able to blame something other then their own lack of willpower for their fat asses.

Lessons Learned: Even educational programs will help women justify "It's not my fault"type of thinking.... and that "It wasn't me... .something HAPPENED that was out of my control!"
