This is basically her hamster showing withdrawal symptoms after losing her "special snowflake" privilege.

Koreans are skinny. Have you noticed? I mean, if you live in Korea, it’s pretty hard not to. I know that people say you can’t stereotype. But, it’s actually the truth. Koreans are skinny – really, really, skinny.

Starts off by redefining healthy weighted 50-60 kg women here as something strange as if they require an explanation...so they must be labeled as "skinny"..."too skinny" even.

If you’re like me, you are from a Western country (I am from Canada)...back home you are usually considered to be on the smaller side. Well, all that changes once you move to the ROK. No longer are you small. In fact, you are probably bigger...And, for your reference, I am actually considered small back home.

Well yeah because Western women are bigger. Even though this woman is of a normal and attractive weight (in her photos she conveniently shows off), it's not good enough for her. She also needs to be explicitly "considered to be on the smaller side" by everyone. Cause she's special.

Koreans will still make you feel bad about your previous size. Last year, when I lost some weight, I had some Koreans say to me “oh you look so much better now. You were SOOOO fat before.

This is super true. Koreans, both friends and family, will unabashedly call you out for being a 돼지 or "piggy". If you gain weight, they will tell you about it and tell you to stop eating so much or to exercise. I'm not talking about your typical Asian parents; it's also little college girls who will say it to your face (in a friendly manner making fun of you). So refreshing to hear it.

The bottomline is this chick lost her badge of honor as the only "petite" woman around and thus the attention and validation that goes along with it. Now that she is confronted with a culture that doesn't give her that validation, something MUST be wrong with that culture. Case closed.
