This has to do with the courts ruling that universities and their faculty can be held liable for the kangaroo courts because those courts are not judicially sanctioned and hold no special privilege. This is just the first of many, you can expect dozens and later hundreds of suits to follow as wronged men retaliate.

Do you have a link to an article discussing this ruling?

Good. Men are wising up and using the courts to do their dirty work just as woman have been doing for decades.

What the hell is up with Duke University?

I see a new post every goddamn month about how fucked this place is with regards to it's sexual policies. Is it the only one in the US doing this or just the one that gets featured the most?

It is because of the Duke lacrosse scandal. It was big news a few years back when a woman made a false rape allegation and claimed that she was raped by several members of the lacrosse team.

The guys and the college were immediately smeared in the media. Several members of the team were immediately suspended. The coach was forced to resign (as if he could control what students did off the field). And the team's season was cancelled, which is a big deal for student athletes as they were the #1 seed the following year when they were reinstated. The entire lacrosse team, except for one black player as the accuser said the attackers were white, was forced to take DNA tests. The so called "Group of 88" was formed, in which 88 Duke professors signed a statement publicly denouncing and attacking the lacrosse players (may be unsurprising, but no law professors or engineering professors joined the group, they are more logical and value due process, the professors that signed were mainly gender studies and African American studies). Two students on the lacrosse team was intentionally failed by one of the professors in the Group of 88 as retaliation, even though they were not suspects in the case. The property and homes of the coach and players were vandalized. People called it a hate crime against women and a hate crime against blacks (as the accuser was black). One of the suspects had a rock solid alibi in ATM records, photos from security camera, and a taxi driver who can vouch that he was in the cab during the timeline of the supposed rape, but it didn't stop the case from proceeding.

Meanwhile, the accuser had a criminal history. She was a stripper and prostitute. She made false rape accusations in the past. She was discharged from the military for becoming pregnant. She stole a car and tried to run over a police officer when she was drunk. And she is diagnosed with bipolar disorder and is on anti-psychotic medications. Also, the other stripper that was with her claimed that the accuser never left her sights for more than 5 minutes. Basically, she was a complete basket case and completely non-credible.

Luckily, this case eventually had a happy ending. After many months, the men were declared innocent (not "not guilty", but innocent as the evidence clearly proved that they did not do it, it is very rare for the judge to rule "innocent" instead of "not guilty"). The coach and students sued and got settlements. The students that were intentionally failed by professors sued and got their grades changed. The lead prosecutor was disbarred for fraud as he made false statements tot he press to crucify and students and he manipulated evidence to hide that the woman had 5 different men's DNA in her and none of that matched any of the lacrosse players. He said that he didn't want to "drag anybody through the mud" meaning the didn't want to embarrass the girl. White knighting to the extreme. The girl is currently in jail for murdering her boyfriend.

It's all universities. Duke just happens to be a very elite one and the source of a big false rape allegation scandal.

Title IX is so fucked.

Every complainant has the right for the complaint to be decided using a preponderance of the evidence standard (i.e., it is more likely than not that sexual harassment or violence occurred).

New criminal standards coming to a court near you! Tune in.

Holy shit, why bother twisting their words around at that point? Just call it what it is: guilty before proven innocent if you're a man.

Actually .... Title IX merely mentions being a minority. If the university in question is 51% or more female, then a man could sue the university for violating his civil rights via Title IX. The courts would have to comply or risk Title IX being invalidated by a higher court, which you can be guaranteed it would make it to considering how big a thing it's become. Most university students nation wide are now female, they can't hide behind "sexism" as an excuse anymore.

It's cute that you try to interpret words by their literal meaning. They are out to fuck men and particularly white men.

Minority is defined by the US government as women or "people of color".

It never means white or male. They pull this off by twisting what minority really means into something about "power". Since they can argue that since males have more power, they are not a minority, even if there are less of them at a college.

EDIT: Also I searched the whitehouse.gov document about Title IX and what I think was the official Title IX document and couldn't find one mention of the word "minority". I just says you can't discriminate based on sex.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
