You're also taking that quote to it's most extreme (weird, it's as if there's this theme of you seeing things in black and white or something). I agree that some people use it as an excuse for harmful, selfish, and cruel behavior, but there are also people who will drop friends and significant others over the smallest issues. Someone who loves another person loves the whole person despite their flaws, and a relationship with them is not contingent upon a person changing mere annoyances or occasional inconveniences. Often the wonderful conversation, sexual chemistry, shared interests, and mutual support MORE than makes up for those types of flaws. The problem with this phrase is when it's used to justify abusive, manipulative, and destructive behavior, NOT when it's used to describe loving your partner through the good times and the bad.

Often women are referred to as b**s for being strong willed and honest, not placating male egos and "keeping in line." Again, if someone is using such phrases to justify intentionally harming others, that's where the line is drawn, but for some, the label of b*h is a badge of honor."

Holy Fuck that is pretty damn Red Pill for Huffpo stuff.

That said I like the compromise we had in our league when we were kids.

You had a 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Team and everyone else got participant trophies. Sure everyone walks away with something at the end of the season but everyone still knows who the best teams are.

A FB friend of mine posted this a while ago, and I rather enjoyed it, so I sought out other things this fellow had written; but after reading this article he wrote, I backed away slowly.

It doesn't discount from any veracity of this article. But I hate it when reasonableness comes from people who are otherwise so mad. I keep seeing this article popping up, and it bothers me that it perhaps gives credence to his less-reasonable views.
