You have to be careful. When they overadvertise and make unrealistic promises you know you are being lied to. Sometimes PUAs will make it seem like even the lowliest neckbeard beta with no self confidence can get laid tomorrow if he reads some overpriced pdf file. Being alpha takes hard work, discipline, and a huge set of balls. Anyone who advertises some kind of magical shortcut rather than self improvement and effort is full of lies. Just be careful.

Exactly. There is no magic bullet.

I think it's true in that when your goals focus mainly on women, you'll fail because they can sense that this means you don't have abundance. After all, why would a man who consistently gets laid worry about getting laid?
Like others have said on this sub- put yourself first and the women will follow.

notice how many of the PUAs gurus were afc rich guys that then used their money to enhance their selves.
notice how many of those dudes are on drugs or alcohol, and use that as a lure to ~20-5 yr old college girls.
notice how many of the 'gurus' are Americans in foreign countries giving out advice where they're considered 'exotic'.
notice how I'll use any excuse to diminish the PUAs value.
NOTICE!

Look.
Even if you are pro PUA.
The truth is dry spells exist.
Rejection happens more than sex.
Once you transcend the PUA, it matters less.

the guy that wrote this is an idiot. by his retarded logic BJJ is bullshit because blackbelts can still lose fights.
edit:
This blogger is another one of those subversive asshole's trying to push the "PUA's don't have any actual skills. they're just playing the numbers game" message that feminists and white knights have been pushing since the seduction community went public. And since most of the guys that try PUA tactics fail, they assume the feminists and white knights were right.
the guy probably sits around boards like /r/seduction circlejerking about inner game instead of working on a script, improving his value, and living a lifestyle tailored to seduction.
Did the original PUA's like mystery and style spend all day posting about "inner game" and "being alpha"? Fuck no. they They spent their entire time working on canned material and even had entire scripts written out; And in the process they learned the underlying mechanics of attraction.
Another thing they didn't do was warm approach a friend every 3 or 4 months and post to their old board looking for advice. they went out sarging regularly. Making cold approaches at clubs, and trying shit they came up with themselves. In other words, they got much more practice, and in a much better ('better' as in appropriate. not necessarily easy.) environment.
the last thing they did was at least some of them already came to the table with lots of value (style) or actively worked on improving it. they didn't just trust to a script to carry them to the goal line.
are these seduction guru's really guru's? fuck no. they're salesmen. but this "pickup is just a numbers game" bullshit is a lie.

Always remember that even monkeys can and will sometimes slip from the branch.

I am friends with one of the guru's on facebook and he's what I would consider a beta idiot who lost his fear to approach women. He's really good at rounding up omega's and making them feel better about themselves, which is an important job... but... yeah... no.
Having said that, the work of pick up artists is a huge chunk of what it takes to get laid, so God bless them for the part they play.

As an omega, I find this a bit silly. We do not have the desire that betas have to be loved by the group. We do not want or need your group. The treatment of Omegas in the Red Pill community reminds me a bit of Trotstkyists in Orwell's Homage To Catalonia: a punching bag for the communists applied to people they want to stigmatize. They can get away with this because the group itself has no public representatives; they are defined exclusively by hostile commentators.

Human hierarchies are obviously more complex than the trichotomy we use here suggests. However, if we are going to use it, it should at least be used honestly.
An Omega is "...A male in a social group who prefers working alone and has no desire to be the leader or the most outstanding in the group."

The male in charge of the other males in a social group.

To me an alpha is the type of person who gravitates toward social domination. That said, my view of social leaders is not very sophisticated. Social domination is not my business.
People with varying levels of personal and practical competency gravitate towards appropriate positions in social hierarchies. "Alpha" attitudes are the natural result of competence (whether it's wealth, appearance, skill, talent, etc). I do not think it is dichotomous - rather, people are more or less competent than others and as a result are more or less dominant.
Thus, an omega could be very competent, and perfectly capable of social domination. They just choose not to pursue it. Jacob Applebaum is an excellent example of this. However, many people who reject hierarchies will obviously be people who would not do well within the hierarchy.
