The term Dark triad refers to three personality disorders. It does not refer to a man who has all three disorders. (In fact, I'm not even sure if there is a documented case of a single person who has exhibited all three disorders.)

Psychopathy is rare at 1% of the population and is genetic in nature. Don't kid yourself into thinking you can turn into a psychopath or pretend to be one by sheer will. Try this: Kill your neighbor's dog. Do you feel any remorse? If so, you are no psychopath. Can you go through with it without showing remorse to bystanders? No? Then you have no dark triad game. Now try killing your own dog and answer the same questions.

Narcissism is the pursuit of gratification from vanity, or egotistic admiration of one's own physical or mental attributes. Narcissism is the obsessive pursuit of praise and validation. It is NOT confidence. In fact, certain attributes of narcissism such as narcissistic rage and injury are absolutely antithetical to TRP. I have no idea how someone could pretend to be narcissistic to attract women. The neediness would absolutely turn anyone off.

Machiavellianism is a term that some social and personality psychologists use to describe a person's tendency to be unemotional, and therefore able to detach him or herself from conventional morality and hence to deceive and manipulate others. This trait is actually quite compatible with psychopathy. Note that Machiavellianism is not simply the ability to manipulate people in order to achieve goals, which most of us possess to different extents. Rather, its the wish to achieve goals expressly at the expense of others.

Common Characteristic to all Dark Triad disorders seems to be lack of empathy and focus on self. Perhaps, this is the key attribute that attracts women.
