It very well may be the case that giving both genders franchise inevitably leads to socialist police states. If so, then what?

What? What do you propose we do? Can you prove conclusively that it doesn't happen? Can you construct a system that mitigates the moral hazards involved?

We have two genders that think quite differently. That arrangement NEVER came with a promise that both could responsibly wield franchise, nor any promise that things would end well if we tried to.

Its like tit for tat on a massive scale. You're assuming that women are running the same game plan as men, when all indications are they aren't.

America is not a police state. Get your head out of your ass. If you think we live in a police state, or that Western Europe is either, go live in one of the African kleptocracies, or South American Narco States. We don't have a perfect system, but it's better than anything previously tried.

For the record, this is the wrong sub for this discussion anyway. TRP is about sexual strategy. Read the sidebar, and go talk about this on a politics or men's rights board.

America is not a police state

I don't recall saying it was.

I suggested that shared franchise eventually leads to it.

What goes on beyond our borders is irrelevant in considering whether people within our borders are more or less free now then previously. I think most people here would agree that individual american citizens are less free now from cultural social justice speech policing then their parents were.

Power is a sexual strategy, both its possession and its granting. Beta men granted the power of franchise as sexual strategy of appeasement, nice guy behavior. That was a mistake, and it is a difficult mistake to rectify considering what they gave away.

Women absolutely have the brainpower for it.

Generally speaking, women are just as smart as men. "Brainpower" has nothing to do with it, voting was never reserved for the intelligent only. As for only "the wealthy" voting - that's actually a Marxist idea. Landowners - who were of course wealthy - we the only ones that voted because they were the state.

As for blacks/homosexuals, etc., all I can say is that democracy and civilization existed long before MLK and the 1960s. For whatever reason, political liberals tend to have a very, very short horizon when they think about social issues.
