What I think is retarded about this whole case is that these alleged assaults happened, and then instead of going directly to the authorities, they simply just came back for more.... like.... okay.... (Much like the Bill Cosby cases)

Not only that, but i find it really funny that Ghomeshi isn't even going to take the stand in his defence. That alone is a clear statement that the accusers can't get their shit together and their stories straight - therefore, no assault took place, and whatever transpired was indeed consentual.

I'm actually from the province this took place in and know some of the women that supposedly "dated" him. None of them had any incidents whatsoever but were quick to throw out the "well he was kind of aggressive at times, so I can see it happening to others", just so they don't seem like apologists or go against popular perception.

I got in a group discussion about this at a friends place when the story first came out. The only other person in the room that stated there needed to be evidence beyond heresay was another guy.

Also, while Ghomeshis lawyer is excellent, he fucked up himself royally. When the accusations first surfaced from the Toronto Star, he tried to beat the punch by releasing a public statement. There was also an internal investigation done by CBC and he actually showed one of the tape to his employer, which got him canned. Dude, wtf were you thinking? All you had to do was keep your mouth shut, now his career is fucked unless he goes into podcasting or writes on the ordeal
