In the Armed Forces, every quarter a message comes out called “Good Order and Discipline.” It is essentially a list of dumb people who have been disciplined for doing dumb things. Officers forced to retire for fucking their staff members. Senior enlisted reduced in pay grade for embezzlement. Civilian contractors fired for faking contracts, that kind of stuff.
It’s usually written in the following manner:
“An E-8 was reduced two grades to E-6 and forfeited six month’s pay for improper use of a government credit card. The member will also serve three months confinement and receive a discharge under other than honorable circumstances.”
We have the same thing here, unfortunately.
- A Hamster Analyst, senior grade was removed from the subreddit for persisting in arguments with a moderator and attempting to enlist another mod against the first. The individual has received a permanent ban from the subreddit and was warned not to personally contact mods again under pain of reporting to Reddit admin and potential permanent loss of account.
Lessons learned from this:
The mods are one voice. Any attempt to undermine a moderator to another mod will result in immediate removal from the subreddit. That this was a Senior Hamster Analyst is particularly distressing.
