What the fuck planet is she living on? Women almost never have to deal with rejection. The few times I recall women actually risking rejection, they were hitting on married dudes. In that situation (and I even said words very similar to this), the man isn't rejecting her so much as he is remaining faithful to his wife.

Her idea of rejection must be putting on makeup, sitting around in a bar or club or whatever, and no one talks to her.

That's not rejection.

I bet she hasn't actually approached a guy. If she has, I guarantee she didn't actually do the asking, but rather signaled interest with a chance to retain plausible deniability.

I don't think women understand or appreciate the efforts that men have to put in to be desirable in the dating market. Earning a 6-figure income isn't easy, and often it takes years to climb up the corporate ladder to reach such a position. You also have to maintain your fitness and body, and when a man has put in so much efforts, he is not going to settle down for a used up single mom when he can get younger women for himself.

All I have wanted was one single woman to have a monogamous relationship with. I dated a lot, and married once. I'm now divorced, and I'm done. All women want a man for his resources, and thats okay. Often women seek out a stable man to raise a child with, which requires the man to be somewhat calm and dad-like, but also earn a lot of money, but far too many women today want a man's money to spend on makeup, whiteclaws, and nonsense, because every young woman today is trying to put off having children until later.

And now I'm faced with being alone, dating an expensive woman younger than me, or dating a woman my age who is "tired of the games" and wants to cram a decade of getting to know her and pregnancy into just a few months. Many of these older women do probably just want a family and a child now... but they are going to be constantly tempted by the pleasures of casual sex from their past. They are going to compare me to every other man they have been with.

No thanks. It's not just men. It's not just women. This entire generation is broken. Men just learn to live with it. Women will demand a bachelor tax, and government-funded frozen eggs for when they find "the one".

It's just simple mathematics. "The One" isn't out there.

If you think about it, it makes perfect sense for it to genuinely appear the way she describes it, from a female perspective.

Remember the OKCupid data showing that according to women, the midpoint of male attractiveness is at the 85th percentile. A man at the 85th percentile is ''ok looking''. But in the real world such a man is going to be shooting for attractive women most of the time, since he'll be working from the male, non-delusional perception of relative attractiveness. To women this will look like an absurdly entitled and overconfident 'average joe' only going after supermodels.

It gets even worse when we consider what an actually average man's dating requirements must look like from a female perspective. A man at the 50th percentile is a 2 or a 3 out of 10 in the eyes of women. From their perspective, that man's assortative match is an overweight single mother. The fact that most such men have other ideas than pairing off with such a low quality female must genuinely appear to be the most absurd entitlement and overestimation of one's own attractiveness when looked at by women.

Both sexes think the other has too high standards and is prone to overestimating how appealing they are as a mate. The OLD data just shows which is correct, and it happens to be not the one that women think.

Here's the bottom line to any women holding the opinion expressed in the OP...

As men age, they accumulate assets (money, investments, etc.). Their options with regard to women expand.

As women age, their assets (mostly looks) depreciate. Their options shrink, particularly if they have kids.

Further complicating matters for women, many men prioritize freedom, solitude, and peace over marriage as they age. They're fine dating and understandably want to avoid long-term entanglements with women. Moreover, men usually date younger women because, again, they have more options.

Women are more likely to look for long-term companionship and long-term financial security as they age. But post-wall, they have little to offer men (their beauty is gone). Moreover, many are saddled with other mens' kids, an immediate turnoff to most good men.

Is it fair? I dunno. It's life. That's the way it was before any of us were alive. That's the way it'll be long after all of us are worm food.

Complaining about it won't change anything.
