I’m stared at A LOT in public. I have conventionally attractive features that are quite eye catching, even from distant cars. Some men will just stand in front of me to gawk, even if I’m with my parents. I glare back but never confront them, I just move spots. I hate going into public because I know I’ll have to deal with it, it’s exhausting and I feel powerless.
I work in a shop and have caught men staring at my breasts. Or they will act inappropriately in ways they would not if I was a man. I’m tired of the disrespect and ready to start hitting back. But it’s difficult when I’m in customer-service mode, my natural instinct is to smile politely and take it.
Can any of you amazing women give me tips on standing up for yourself?
