He's an example of wanting a cake and eat it too.

Obsessed about his own 'I'm the good one' image to people while getting back to you at the same time.

So then if you take him back, he'll be seen as the 'good guy'.

Guess what, keeping one mouth's shut when it comes to breakup = dignity.

His words =/= his action.

He is undignified & untrustworthy.

Block & delete. That's all what he deserved.

He does this so he can keep other people away from you, isolate you from them so that he can easily control you if he gets you back. It may also be to deter other men from pursuing you. He wants himself to be your only option.

Because they don't plan on staying with you and want to use you for validation. Or they will stay with you so you can build them up.

Mental illness. And I don’t say this jokingly. I would do this to my ex cause I missed him and I thought he loved me and I had untreated traumas and depression. I needed therapy (I’m doing so now). I expressed my frustration in an unproductive way. Now I’m getting treated and know not to do that.

They are angry or miss the access they had

they hate that they love you or hate that they want you in some shape,way or form (obsession or control) and the fact that you won't reciprocate when they want or take them back leaves them helpless or rejected

"the good one that got away" syndrome or "im the right one for them and the only one they need" syndrome

you can be angry and say bad thing about the one one you claim to love but in this instant is more so toxic or controlling behavior

they want to control how others view you since they can not control you !

or they want you and love you but they do not know how to express that anger,attachment or abandonment issues and want to make a show to get you to take them back
