This is not about the baby, this is about control. More specifically, her trying to control you and you giving it to her.

She got herself a baby and a 50/50 gravy-train without having to be committed to you. But the moment you end things with her she's laying out 5 miles of hurdles you have to jump over to "convince her" that everything is "safe" for the baby.

Yet, you also say in this comment what looks like she wants to hurt herself "and the baby." If that's true, she has no interest in the baby's safety like she claims. Only in fucking you over.

Get a Lawyer, sure. Get your baby away from someone who is threatening it ... absolutely. Is there even a question you should do that? Really?

But you got much bigger issues. You can't see what's going on or how you will repeat this whole situation because you are currently living in your "Baby Momma's" Frame.

Even if you successfully separate yourself and your child from this woman, you will end up in the same situation all over again because you don't understand the dynamics of what's going on. You'll fuck yourself over with the next woman just like you did with this one.

Get to reading the Sidebar junior. Getting a Lawyer is the easy part of this journey.

It’s all bullshit. For sure you need to get clear cut documents on custody. First, approach it in a “let’s put together a custody agreement” way, and if she pushes back, then take it to a court mediator . You don’t necessarily need to spend a ton on a lawyer, depending on your state. In my eye, you wouldn’t need an attorney since almost all mediation ends up in 50/50 custody. Research your state or have one meeting with an attorney and ask what the norm is. Of course, he’s gonna push to get a retainer and try to scare you, but do your homework and be smart.

You need a court ordered custody arrangement so she stops playing these games with your parenting time. Of course, that will probably mean court ordered child support as well but, believe me, it will be worth it in the long run so she has less control over your time/attention (that's what she really wants).

The law was on your side when she went to the nut house. I think you just may have missed your golden opportunity for full custody and supervised visitation only for her. But keep sending those baby proofing pics so "she" will let you see your daughter.

I don't understand why you allow her to control you. When it's her turn with the baby you do not know who she visits or who visits her or where she goes with the baby. Why give her the power to ask you such stupid questions in the first place ? Dude you've lost frame to the nonsense. I'm even repulsed by your statements. it seems you can't tell her to STFU and mind her business. I hope you grow the balls to stop this nonsense from going further. What reasons she feels the child is not safe with you? Same reasons should be applicable to her. Then neither of you should keep custody of the child.

Lawyer? Maybe. If you have been keeping good documentation of taking care of the kid you should be fine. Receipts for clothes, bed, pictures, food logs etc

Make a binder and have it ready for any disputes.

If she's not keeping her side of the deal then take her ass to court.
