Tl;dr Stronglift 5x5? P90X or Body Beast lifting workout? Or just STFU. Pick one and get to work.

Currently was doing insanity max 30 cause I like the short to the point workouts and wanted to increase my cardio.

I know lift so that's what I'm setting up to do.

Plan

I have an older weight set in good condition at my folk's that I used in high school and I was planning on getting it over to my house on Monday. Unsure of how much actual weight I have on the plates. At least 300 lbs. If I remember correctly. Was going to place it in the back yard on the patio area. I don't want to join a gym because that forces me to choose jiu jitsu or going to lift. I've joined gyms in the past. Never went. Money down the toilet. My fault. BJJ is my hobby and I want to continue to train and improve there. Planning on starting to compete again at local tourneys so I need to get in shape and lower my BF and weight.

Alternatively I considered lifting 3 times per week with some of the Beachbody programs like P90X or Body Beast using dumbbells.

I like convenience which is why I want to do a home set up and it's easy to get a 45 minute workout in before my 12 hour night shift.
