Meta question: why must some subjects (like RP) be mostly externally taught to us?

February 18, 2018

This is not a typical RP question, but more about a learning process which RP is a good example of.

The primary subject matter of RP.... the hypergamous behavior of women.... is always on display, and yet most of us aren't able to internally synthesize our observations of it into useful knowledge. That knowledge pretty much has to be handed to us from an external source (reading what someone else has synthesized and written down). But once we read it, we instantly correlate it with our own observations, and we GET IT. Like "yes, I see that now."

Even in the Matrix movie, Neo has to be told by an external source what's going on. Despite being smart, he'd likely never figure it out on his own.

There are quite a few subjects in life like this, not just RP. We can't figure it out on our own, but once the information reaches us externally, (sometimes by sheer luck) we understand it.

Someone here is shadowbanned.

Now to respond to the OP. The problem is that there are incentives towards lying about the real world. Both from women, who benefit from hiding hypergamy, and from men, who avoid competition by obfuscating the truth. Then there's the feelgood pap that is lapped up by people, both men and women, who don't want to know the truth, would rather believe the pretty lies.

What is shadowbanned?

[–]SteelToeShitKicker6 points7 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Shadowbanned is when a reddit admin (not subreddit admin) decides you need to be removed from the site. They don't outright ban you, the make it so no one can see your posts. Sometimes you can see that a shadowbanned user made a post if the number of comments (top of page) doesn't equal the number of comments you actually see.

In this case, I think there was a bug / slow server / something else maybe because after I posted, I didn't see my comment either. I think there were almost 10 comments in the thread before I could see any of them.

[–]Persaeus0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep I noticed that too. Across several threads actually

Social conditioning.

[–]BobbyPeru2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

First, let’s start with the premise that you can’t possibly know everything.

Next, let’s agree that different people know different things. There is some overlap, but each person has different knowledge on any given subject.

Now, if we accept the above, it follows that since you don’t know evverything, nor does anyone else... you need an external source to help you with certain things... and sometimes you are the source of help.

Because many men are designed by natural selection not to figure it out. It's a female sexual strategy, and it wouldn't be worth much if it didn't work at least some of the time.

I think its a certain type of men (including yours truly) who gets themselfs into a certain kind of relationships with women and develop oneitis more easily, and this type of men are heavily overrepresented here in these subreddits. A "natural alpha" does indeed grasp these concepts internally and has no need for the red pill and never has the need to visit /r/askMRP . My two cents.

/u/Firetempered was a natural. Fucked everything that moved and was ramen good with it.

Even I'm finding out my sexual history is easy nor prolific and degenerative than the norm.

Every guy has blind spots, every guy benefits from a fresh set of eyes

And even he wasn't immune to female nature. RP is simply an eye opening experience. What you do with that new vision is on you. There was a post on TRP a few days ago that summed this up quite nicely.

Everything that you do not learn yourself through a process by yourself, you learn through other people. To learn it yourself, you often need to repititiously try it and fail/succeed to solidify the idea. How many guys on here had done that enough before visiting MRP with enough women to solidify the ideas and adopt the tools needed? I'd wager a good bet that the answer is no one. Who had the time for that? No one. The colaborative collection of notes, however, splits the time needed for each guy down to a manageable level so they can learn all this, while building their better life, streamlining the process.

The cult of blue.

Your whole life, all pop culture, society, your parents and friends, your teachers, all the media you're permitted to watch, all insist that the World is flat and God hates fags. Everything you're allowed to interact with says the same thing.

Therefore there is no other viewpoint even conceivable. You know in your heart that homos are bad and you can fall off the edge of the earth. Ingrained Pavlovian responses.

Until a few of you get that splinter in your mind that something is not "right".

Because not everyone has the ability to make a Nobel prize worthy discovery.

Across the whole population only a minority are able to understand it, internalize it, and apply it. Kill the ego and immerse yourself into these three modes.

In patriarchal societies it is obvious. Only because the West has become predominantly matriarchal is the truth suppressed by massive distraction campaigns, social pressure, and thought policing. To everyone’s detriment and unhappiness, I might add, including the “fairer sex.”

[–]black_jack_davy0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Not just "never figure it out on his own"—but being embedded in a society that tells him to do the exact opposite of what he observes, to ignore the evidence of his own senses, to destroy his ability to reason about relationships effectively and his ability to network with other men to "compare notes" in male-only spaces. Very few people would be capable of overcoming that kind of conditioning for any topic—left as an exercise to the reader.

Now, if you grew up in the Hyborian Age, your experience would clearly differ, and your models would be different.

Perhaps most human ignorance of the obvious centers around covert contracts we hold with respect to our wives, neighbors, friends, parents, employers, society, god, life, etc. Acknowledging the obvious reality would force us to abandon the covert contract, which is more dear to us than the truth.

[–]straius0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Everyone is pointing to externalized factors as to why but the truth is that the only reason any of that makes a difference is because you were willing to lie to yourself.

Frame existed before Rollo or others applied the name to it. PUA artists existed before PUA was ever conceived...

Players have existed for thousands of years.

If you spent time working on yourself, focused on what worked or didn't and faced the fear of rejection, you accumulate experience that will attune you to the patterns that work for you. Humans are pattern recognition machines but you gotta immerse yourself in failure to start to see them on your own if you're not a natural. Most people are unwilling to do so and would prefer to lie to themselves or protect their beliefs instead.

The problem is an internal one whatever external factors might add to it, but the fundamental cause comes from within and the answer is usually fear.

We spent our lives being "un-taught" RP. It is about reclaiming, not teaching, it.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Why does anyone want to study or learn anything?

Explicitly learning should accelerate your skill in something. Some things can be picked up implicitly, but the conditions need to be right.

For example, a lot of RP ideas I felt I already knew when I found RP. Some of that stuff is old-as-the-hills clichés such as "treat em mean to keep em keen".

Other stuff, such as the whole concept of hypergamy, was not told to me particularly explicitly before I read RP. I recognised some of the ideas, but making them explicit (even just labelling them) helps you to understand them better and then you can begin to analyse them on a deeper level.

By labelling things you make them concrete. For example, take the term 'hypergamy'. That word contains a lot of ideas, so by pulling them together under a header you can organise your thinking on a higher level, if you get me?

Without that label, you just have a lot of vaguely similar concepts in your head but you probably won't make the connection, in other words you don't see the root of the issue.

Oneitis is the key to the problem

I’m from a different generation than most here and taking cue from an alpha older brother, I got on the fuck machine train early on in life.

I now remember fucking a girl in horticulture class after lunch almost daily, getting coaxed from the older brother when she told me to get a piece of her all I had to do was wear some Polo cologne.

It’s been all downhill from there. College was an amazing fuck fest and going over to coworkers homes to help move furniture was a sore dick experience in itself. But god it was eye opening, hopping from bed to bed

What I learned was women want to fuck, young mothers want to constantly fuck, they want more in life. but not from a limp dick fuck she had to tell what to do, think, choose or argue with to put the fucking cereal away with. In the grand scheme of it all, I learned they want men lined out as in “The Way of the Superior Male” unwaivering, with clear direction

They want a continuous great ride with little responsibility and get ugly when hits the fan. Hence, RP principles are clear as day

It has to be externally fed because of “oneitis” of her replacing mama. And since she ain’t momma, you keep trying to change her into momma. Ever notice how momma didn’t fuck you ?

We've been brainwashed by feminist ideologies. We've been taught to be ashamed of our masculinity, most men don't even know what masculinity is.

[–]RedPillPowerNine0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

The concept of evolution is like this, it was right there staring everyone in the face, it took Charles darwin to put it to paper.

People believe what is easy and the true nature of females is ugly and difficult. Never bet against human laziness.

Red pill is some mental heavy lifting and it scares away weak men. It's really obvious when they read that they have to work out. That's where the weak men quit.

Wikipedia says that the absence of plough (requiring hard, physical work) is the only predictor of polygamy.

That said, women needed betas to provide for them, and those betas would not provide without access to pussy. Of course, this relationship was mutually beneficial, as those betas would not get a chance to fuck otherwise. This was a surprisingly good alignement of interests, which utilised the work potential of betas (80% of male population) which served the entire community.

In my country, not so long ago, you had to pay additional taxes if you were a single male at the age of 24. I still have a friend who settled for a first man that commited to her at the age of 22, because she was getting old. And she had to have a child at the age 24, and a second one at 26, because it was the way it should be. This is extreme, but smaller or bigger conditioning exists everywhere.

In this environment, to discover the truth (like RP), you have to be in a very specific situation - first of all, you need to observe a large number of cases to be able to spot a trend, secondly, you need to have enough of resources (time, knowledge, attention, curiosity, perspective) to actually look into those observations, draw conclusions and test them.

You do not have time to do it all, for all the truths, by yourself. That’s why we cooperate.

We learn from each other. And we have our own missions, which sometimes make the world better.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
