The wife works tomorrow. The car seats were out of the van and in the garage for reasons. She asked me if I would install them tonight while one if us can watch the kids (7 and 3). I told her I would do it in the morning before I left.

She got storming mad that I didn't do it right then. She installed them herself and I told her thank you. I can interpret this two ways.

  1. WISNIFG
  2. Not owning my shit

I don't see anything wrong with installing the car seats with the kids in the morning. But she thinks I wouldn't be watching them. So, it's a difference of opinion from my perspective. From her perspective she doesn't trust me with the kids. I think she can be protective of them even against me. Nothing has happened as far as them getting injured on my watch. Just what seems normal to me like the kids making messes.

We talked some afterward and I said I don't see this as a big deal it's just a matter of opinion. She said I always have to be right. I responded that in this case it's not about being right it just about doing what I want. If I wanted to install the car seats then then I would, if I want to install them in the morning then I will. And I said I respect her when she says "no".
