I'm making pretty good progress on my spring/summer cut but I was wondering if anybody had any advance cutting advice or programs?
My current program is basically
- tracking with loseit
- eating at a deficit
- 2.5/lb/wk target
- full body compound workout 3 days/wk, constant weight, 8-12 reps
- creatine, caffine, NOW 7-keto DHEA w other stuff in it also
- 1:1:1 macro ratio
It's working pretty well. I ran a little shy of my april goal so I dialed the calories back slightly and now I'm right on track. Since I started April 1 I've dropped from like 25% BF to 20% without losing any noticeable muscle. I'm using notches on my belt I've never used before.
My question is, what's next? What else can I do to either optimize fat loss or minimize muscle loss? I'm starting to feel pretty weak in the gym. My lifts are flagging. Not that I care a LOT about strength I've already met my goals there but I do want to preserve mass.
Is there any benefit to cycling my calorie intake? What do they call that, a refeed? Is that for real or just bro-science? What's the real deal?
I'm already familiar with IF concepts but go ahead and brag about how great it worked for you if you like.
