This is definitely something I struggle with. I would love to move up to a management position, but there currently isn't any real opportunity for it. But I want to start carrying myself more like "someone reliable", and be able to start learning about if you are in a higher position, how to talk to others in a way that is both respectful, but also establishes your role.

For example; if I needed someone to handle a task for me, how do you handle that? Do you request it, like "Hey Tommy, can you put this report together before our meeting Friday"? Or do you kind of force it, like "Hey Tommy, I'll need this report done by Friday. Thanks!"

I know most guys come to TRP for advice about getting laid, but I feel like this touches on a lot of similar themes, just in terms of establishing frame. So I'd appreciate any articles, insights, resources, anything on the subject.
