Textbook RP, when you message a chick you don't know and she doesn't message you back, you don't message her again. But I discovered a line that seems to get a response about 60% of the time. And of that 60% response rate, about 60% seems to be a positive response. But when I say it aloud, and think about it, it seems a bit needy.

When I message a chick and she doesn't message me back, I wait a day or two and message her again saying "I hope your hand gets better." to which they nearly always respond (if they respond) with "what?". I then say, "Well you couldn't message me back, I thought something was wrong with your hand." I've never been told to fuck off, but sometimes they stop responding, or give me one word answers until I stop responding, but a lot of times it breaks the ice and leads to a conversation. What are you guys thoughts on this? On one hand, if it works, why not? But should I be watching out for anything specific at any point if this is how I meet a chick? Just looking for your RP thoughts.
