So, I am pretty sure that having an ego is bad as fuck in most, if not all situations. TRP however teaches the opposite in several things, to never be the first to drop eye contact with other men (to not show submission), which is purely an ego-thing. Same with never apologizing, even when you've done wrong, this is also a pure ego thing.

Doing good, helping others, being kind, warm and open mostly seem to be "beta traits" within TRP. If your boss gave you the orders to clean the toilet for example, because they needs cleaning and the cleaner is sick or something, I'd guess that 90% or more in here would lose their shit because they feel above such simple tasks - also a pure ego thing, whereas someone being stoic and without ego would gladly take on the task without feeling hurt about it.

So what is TRP's stance on having an ego or the "never back down" attitude (which to me seems incredibly counterproductive in many cases). Or have I misunderstood something/read poor TRP posts by users implying the things I wrote?
