Desperately need your help.

mentally guys i'm messed up like.. i have so much going on in my life now and it's really affect me.. along with my health, i find myself stressing 24/7 and i can't stop it, any advise on how to free my mind of these burdens will be very helpful, if you're wondering what i have on my mind, just the way my life is at the moment, i'm unfit and not financial stable at this moment, this has taken a heavy tole on my mental state of mind, so once again guys any advice will be useful.

I suggest learning about Neuro Linguistic Programming. One of the techniques is to anchor a non verbal gesture to an emotion by visualizing the happiest moment in your life and then touching your middle finger and thumb together (just an example). Doing this enough times will give you the feelings you felt on the happiest moment of your life any time you simply touch your middle finger and thumb together.

i started zen meditation and it has been working wonders so far, will also take your idea into consideration and definitely give it a look

I like to touch people's (read: women's) elbow every time they laugh and then eventually they just laugh when I touch their elbow. Good stuff.

If you do not want to see a therapist and/or go on medication then I recommend:

  1. Read the book GTD (getting things done) and implement the system

  2. Get your priorities straight and start doing the things that will have the largest impact on your life and goals right now.

  3. Accept that you are not going to fix everything right now and that you can only progress slowly towards your goal.

  4. Read 'The Slight Edge'

Do you lift? Exercise is the best form of stress relief. Won't directly fix your problems but it can give you the clarity and confidence you need to do so.

Also, look into guided imagery. Goes hand in hand with meditation and breathing exercises.
