Feeling frustrated because it feels like my circumstance hasn't improved even after achieving a career milestone

After years of hard work and sacrifice, I am about to start working as a resident physician. I'm going into a competitive surgical subspecialty with a high future earning potential as an attending.

The kicker is that I don't think my elevated "status" as a doctor has done jack shit to improve my chances.

I recently went back on dating apps... I'm doing worse than I did when I was in med school for some reason.

It's not that I was looking to catch a gold digger who sees me as a future human ATM. But I did think being a surgeon-in-training would give me at least some sort of boost in terms of my success on dating apps.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is the saying "rich doctors/lawyers get all the hot chicks" a fallacy?
