I'm a 23 year old American male still working on my undergrad, but the industry I am going into requires allot of networking. I've traveled and spent allot of money to meet important people. However, I feel woefully inadequate in my overall social skills in networking situations, especially when I must convince the veterans of the industry that I am somewhat competent.

Another issue is that when I try to work with women, all I know is game from the likes of rollo/nick sparks, so I usually end up piling on the game way too hard. Im just trying to maintain a business transaction out of these 4 and 5s and things get can get weird. Is that even possible?

Who/what are the books that i need to get my eyes on to make sure I don't waste more money on fruitless networking trips?
