I’ve been having a hard time controlling my emotions recently and I realize I need a better outlet to taking control of them. For the past 3 months I’ve been taking out my anger, stress, sadness, etc. on a barbell and dumbbells. It led to me gaining over 30 lbs (130 — 162 lbs). I basically went from super skinny to decent physique, still not much of a chest looking guy. Shoutout to noob gains and Ivysaur 4-4-8 Program.

Despite this, I still have bouts of anger or sadness when I haven’t lifted in a while so I’m looking for a more permanent solution to conquering my emotions. I started meditating (currently on day 8 of Headspace) for 10 minutes a day and it has helped a decent amount, but I would like to hear what fellow red pillers have to say.

So how do you keep your emotions in check?
