I’ve never really been too good at actually telling stories. I have no problem holding conversation and being personal with people (i’m much better at asking questions and focusing the conversation on them rather than me). But there are many times when something comes up and all my stories fall flat. My close friends even tell me “Hurry up,” “Get to the point” “Get on with it” etc etc.
I have plenty of interesting experiences from travelling, sports, fights, sex, just random shit (I was acting out all the time for attention and getting into trouble, up until a few years ago) but it doesn’t matter how wild it is it almost always falls flat.
My life doesn’t NEED me to be better at storytelling, but it’s definitely an aspect I want to improve.
Any tips/practices?
