Alright. So I'm 31, and still trying to overcome a lot of my own "stuff" and general "beta-programming".

Lastnight, I'm heading to a friend's to pick some stuff up. My car is totally empty on fuel, so I pull over to a gas station. Well, there's something wrong with all the pumps, they're barely pumping any fuel (like, it took 3 minutes to pump a single dollar's worth of gas).

At first I think it's something wrong with mine, so I look over at the person at the pump opposite to me to ask if hers is going slow, she says it is. I glance over, and see a gorgeous chick get out of her car, looking at her pump like "the fuck is going on?!".

I crack some kind of joke about hers not working either, and just start chatting her up a bit. We just make a few casual jokes (the fact both of our cars were on empty, we couldn't drive to any other gas station), and I mention I still have to drive like 20 minutes north. I say where, and she mentions she works on there.

Up to this point, I'm actually pretty proud of myself. But here's where I wonder if I fucked it up...

We ask each other what we do for a living, and I go over to hand her my business card and introduce myself ("btw, I'm jcorb"), and she introduces herself.

And then... I finish up, tell her to have a good one, and get back in my car and drive off.

I'm thinking... maybe I should've pushed it a bit further? Something like "Oh, you work up near <town I'm near>? Well here's my card, we should grab lunch sometime. You free tomorrow?"

Or how would you guys have played it?
