Humility is a cornerstone to true confidence. My dad, the greatest alpha I have met, began exhibiting consistent and real humility much later in life (early to mid- 50’s).

When asked, he says he achieved it through faith in God and praying. But unlike lots of other religious folk, you wouldn’t know he was religious unless you asked him point blank. While devout, he is very moderate in his views and behavior otherwise (curses, super cool with all kinds of people, doesn’t impress his conservative/religious views on others).

Religion has never been my cup of tea, and I am sure others out there have been able to achieve true humility while not adopting religion (my boss for example).

Any thoughts on becoming and staying consistently humble? I find that my ego often presents itself (particularly in this age of instant gratification) and would like to tame it. I am sure many others here share a similar desire. Thanks in advance.
