IOIs vs plain old curiosity

October 15, 2019

Hey everyone,

Been really into RP for about 18 months now. Been working hard at the gym, getting my SMV higher, practicing chatting to women with a new attitude, etc etc

My issue is this: I'm a white guy living in South East Asia. I've been here for 4 years, so I was never RP back in my home country of the UK.

I get checked out non-stop by local people. Men, women, children, everybody is curious about me because I stick out like a sore thumb as a white guy in this city (and I'm quite tall with lots of tattoos on top of that) and they're all kind of fascinated by me. People will literally turn their heads and stare at me as I walk past them or as they walk past me while I'm in a restaurant, it's a real trip if you've never experienced it. It is what it is, and man I get a hell of a lot more matches on Tinder over here compared to when I was back home. I've slept with way more women than I could of had I just stayed in the UK.

Thing is, I really want to kick dating apps and practice day game/approaching women IRL. I'll get fewer dates probably, but I want to test myself and develop my skills.

My question is this: how do I tell the difference between girls looking at me because I'm a foreigner vs. girls who are checking me out? I'm basically asking for the common eye contact IOI signs, because as it stands almost everybody I walk past in the street or sit next to in coffee shops gives me attention anyway and I can't tell what's curiosity and what's attraction. I know the best way is to probably just start approaching and figure it out from experience, but hey what else is this sub for but asking questions?
