Is it dangerous to be overly confident to the point of conceit?

June 20, 2020

I can’t help but to internally and subconsciously think I’m better than almost everybody I run across. It’s difficult to articulate and explain since it has to do with feelings as well. I rarely ever reveal my feelings of superiority but I often think it.

But thoughts become actions and eventually part of your identity whether you like it or not.

What are your guys thoughts?

I have this same problem, it’s an ego thing, I just think I’m the fucking man and that shows in my demeanour, it helps a lot with women and the way people perceive you.

However I remind myself from time to time that I’m just another drop in the ocean, people have their own lives and are worried about their own problems, nobody cares, we’re not special.

That always pulls me back to reality.

I would say for me, being overly confident works well, but I’m smart about it and don’t have it get in the way of things.

It's bad when you don't see danger right in front of you or lose the frame of the situation to where you end up making a fool of yourself. Otherwise solid meh, good thing to keep yourself confident as along as your not ignorant and that will get you into trouble.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
