Looking to get into sales, would like some advice

I started sells in promoting, eventually mlm and personal trainer.

Read the book spin selling and apply it. Also apply that book to game also.

Sells is just game. Better your game is better your sells. They are intertwined.

The key is to make them self conscious about how much they need the product, than have THEM tell you about how much the product can solve their insecurities/fulfill their needs.

Just go to any sales job interview... go to a lot of them. Theres so much shit out there and different things to sell. I've sold conference tickets. Ive sold sponsorships. I've sold real estate. I've sold advertising. I've sold copier machines. I wish I could get into medical device sales!

The key first I think is landing a job. It will always suck at first. Outside sales is a lot harder than inside sales but this is also a lot more dependent on the product you sell and how many people you talk to on the daily.

Keep looking at job postings all the time. Any product might be a winner because all companies are different, but sometimes you can find better commissions and opportunities in newer high growth businesses.

Pharmaceutical rep here. Every industry is going to radically change with technology and not all sales jobs are created equal. There is a large shift to cutting out the middle man(salespeople).

The sales jobs that are safe are the ones where you are 1) selling a solution 2)building partnerships and 3) solving complex problems.

Car sales will be dead and most commoditized sales jobs will be soon after.

Places to concentrate on niche medical and SAAS. Even my job will be obsolete within five years.
