LTR went to a school with strict nuns who were basically like correctional officers to children. They are the typical mean/bitchy/abusive “teachers” that you see in the movies. Due to her experiences as a child with this, she has some trauma and extremely sensitive. When she asked me this question, I told her “that it’s very normal to go to therapy and it’s not something to be ashamed of. This is a decision that you have to make on your own because only you know how you feel and what goes on in your head.”

I do believe it would help her greatly if she spoke to someone about her trauma, but I’m not sure if I responded correctly to her. She is embarrassed of going to therapy, but I know If I tell her she should go then she would do it 100%.

Should I bring it up again and suggest that she should go to therapy?
