I'm doing cold approaches for about two weeks now. I'm going preeetty slow. I started with asking for directions, what time it was, progressed to making compliments to hot girls and some dudes.

Today as I was doing my 'routine' of going out, I approached a very stylish guy, and simply said his sense of style was awesome, and asked where could I find clothes like that. The thing is that he is the owner of the store we were in front at! He showed me the store (man, I've never entered such a glamorous place, very high end stuff), and we talked a bit and if I was more experienced in Web Dev we could make a deal for a website his planning to make! I also met one of his pals, which is an associate of a great barbershop here in my city.

In the sense of getting money, how much of importance is meeting new people? I'm a developer and I want to focus on getting money right now. I was thinking that I should stop doing cold approaches to focus on my technical skills, but I think I can make money in different ways and get paid better working alone.

What do you think about this? Is meeting people can really boost a lot of your success?
