To start, I’m a few months into lifting following a PPL routine and seeing good results. I really love lifting and want to have a good body. I’m currently skinny fat and making nice but slow progress.

That said, I picked up Muay Thai a few months ago. I tried to keep doing my same lifting routine and wound up gassed. I gave up after a month and just went back to lifting.

Tonight I tried BJJ since my lifting gym is partnered with one and I get a discount. It seems fun, and I can definitely see balancing with it lifting a little easier than Muay Thai. The one thing is I really enjoyed the striking aspect I think more. The BJJ gym says they also train striking/mma, so I can possibly do both.

Without rambling on, what should I do? Should I just focus on lifting to improve my body? Should I add a martial art since I’m interested? I’m conflicted.
