I’m going to be returning to work with a former co-worker I dated casually for two months last year. I had heinous case of Oneitis for her, but was a weak, timid bitch with a negative attitude, she shut me down in a big way, and this very painful experience was the catalyst for me to seek the knowledge that let me to TRP. She got transferred to another office shortly after, and I blocked her and went NC nine months ago. Now I’m being transferred to where she is. A few days ago, she called me from the office, and we talked for about 10 min. She was very friendly, and we talked mostly about about work-related matters, but she slipped in a ball-busting references to our relationship last year, complained that I never call or text her, and mentioned that I blocked her on FB, as if she doesn’t know why I did it. The next time I speak to her, I’m going to lay out some ground rules (we are not friends, no references to last year, and keep it respectful and professional from now on). I would also like her to delete the messages between us, because I’m very embarrassed of them, but asking betrays the fact that on some level I still care what she thinks. Should I just let her keep the damn things as an exercise in truly being indifferent?
