Should I pick up bartending as a side gig?

Seems like the perfect gig for someone in their 20s to practice social skills, meet people, and make some extra dough.

I currently am well off enough financially due to starting my career, so this would only be supplementary income.

If you still have time to exercise, sleep well, and enjoy your hobbies, I’d go for it

It may be worth considering something more flexible that has a social component, like Uber or Lyft.

As a bartender, you'll get stuck working the nights everyone goes out which can limit your social life. Plus many of the people coming in may be too drunk to have the bandwidth to hold a good conversation.

I'm just going off my experiences but having worked in a bar and as an Uber Driver, driving provided me much more of an opportunity to meet people.

Fuck it, why not?

I'm not sure why any bar would hire someone with zero experience but good luck.

I’m definitely considering it for when I get out of college. Seems like a great time. Go for it

Yes

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
