I say "should" loosely. I think I am inclined to try and am seeking some tactical advice.

Late last year a group with a regular, weekly public event (50+ attendees) centered around one of my hobbies lost its home.

The guy who runs it found a new home and I kept going. As it so happens I also met the Owner of the new spot, and started collaborating.

At first this was with the (reluctant) approval of the existing organizer. His female Right-Hand Lt. has had an axe to grind ever since I kissed her at her birthday and never called.

So anyways. This dude is about to lose access to his venue due to shitty choices and a lack of communication, committment, etc. In short he pissed off he Owner.

So.

Here I am. He is on the way out of this venue and will be trying to relocate his event.

Is it worth trying to fuck him over?

By that I mean play this in such a way that he is left in the cold and all of the people choose to continue coming to the existing venue (for the exact same parties / hobby / etc.)

But better, since I will be running it.

Being super obvious about this could blowback into the whole community, which is my main scene. If people decide I'm the asshole in the situation. (He's no saint)

But, he and his grumpy hb6 sidekick have been running this event for 5+ years

There is a lot of historical momentum there. Too much to overcome?

Let me know what y'all think

And and inb4 "wrong Reddit bro".. taking over this event would pretty much result in a fire hose of hot young pussy.
