I only give advice when it’s asked for or to a close friend who I see going down the wrong path, but you have to understand advice is just advice and people won’t take it to heart most of the time.

You can’t save people from themselves

Give watered down advice. They’re usually looking for something to feel better about, not hard unfiltered advice that may actually launch them in the right direction.

I give hard, direct advice. They will either apply it and be better off or never ask me again. However, I rarely advice unasked.

I think whenever there is interaction with a woman outside your family, it means she wants something from you, but it is usually not advice she really wants.

a female or a LTR asks for life advice about self development or advice about getting friends (social stuff)

As long as it's not about guys, and sex, or which brand of tampons she should buy, why wouldn't you advise her?

a LTR is really sad that I don't give her enough attention, asks me what is wrong with her or what should she do.

She's looking up to you, you should give her direction about what you want from her.

Know your audience. Are they looking for practical and actionable advice to solve a problem or do they just want some feel good bs? This applies to both men and women.

Had a chick who used to work with me and my ex at the time, who randomly texted me asking me about breakup advice after my ex dumped me. I knew the bitch was suicidal and depressed before, so I read her insanely long paragraphs about her ex and gave her advice. IDK whether she took it or not but I figured it took no effort to give the advice out.
